Orca Flotta
Is there an app or website tool that allows a player to set his/her online status externally, without having to log into a SL viewer. Ever wondered what the online status is good for? It's showing your online status! When you're not logged in you're not online. Makes sense, no? What sinister plans do you have to fake your on/offline status?

When you're not logged in you're not online. Makes sense, no? What sinister plans do you have to fake your on/offline status? Some always look to the negative... I have learned in my short time, some get upset when you may be busy and either don't want to reply to an IM immediately or some hound you with IMs but you still value them as friend so you keep them on your list. Either way what does it matter why? The question stands, it would be nice to have a way to toggle online status by person, group, externally before you log on. Haven't you wanted to get right to something, instead you log on and have to reply to 4 or 5 IMs from friends online..
Lindens Monty Linden Posted October 10, 2013 Lindens Share Posted October 10, 2013 Perhaps we should have a Heisenberg state where no one can assume a particular condition...

Cerise Sorbet
You can have this partially. You can toggle the online display status for your friends via my.secondlife.com before logging in.
Coby Foden
This matter (like "appear offline, even when online") has been discussed a lot already. Many would like to have that ability - for example to work in peace without disturbing IMs from friends immediately after login. Then there are many having strong objection to such feature. Lots of info about the online status matter is in these JIRA links: Allow login as "invisible to all" from the login window Restrict LSL's avatar online status checking to respect avatar's privacy setting And in this forum thread: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/LSL-Scripting/llRequestAgenData-uuid-DATA-ONLINE-changes-resulting-from/m-p/1409317#M9152 Some TPV viewer had a feature "show true online status". Linden Lab had it removed because it was considered as a breach on user's privacy. It was one step towards "appear offline, even when online"; however, we did not get such feature after all. Scripts can still see any user's online status - it was not possible to remove this feature as it would have broken a lot of existing content. Unfortunately and sadly the existing content sometimes prevents us having some new features.
mariobrillo2016
if you have firestorm viewer you can. Use the check boxes ("friend can see you when you are on line" check box ) in your conversation - contact box tab. You can also set a auto message response indicating you are away from computer
