When will I get refund from marketplace of undeliverable merchandise purchased march 9?

Question

I made3 purchases on March 9 2013 totalling 293L and received this message for each item.

 

1 item has not yet been delivered 
This item is queued for delivery. Merchants cannot redeliver the item at this time, and have not been paid. If the item is not delivered within 8 hours after purchase, you will automatically receive a refund to your account. If you make a purchase while the transaction is in progress, the refund credit may be applied to your next order.

When it's ready.

If you check the Grid Status Reports (always the first thing you should do when you suspect a system problem), you'll find that Linden Lab has been working on this problem since Friday......

[Posted 11:15 am PST, 8 March 2013] Marketplace deliveries orders being delivered by Magic Box are running slowly this morning.  We’ll have the problem diagnosed and corrected as quickly as possible.

You should have received your refund between 8-24 hours after purchase. If you still see this message, submit a support ticket to LL. This still happens often enough that there's a support category just for this issue. Explain the situation, and copy and paste the transaction information for each of the failed deliveries.

In the future:

1) Don't overuse the shopping cart on the marketplace. It's easily confused with more than one or two items. Instead, use the Buy Now feature to buy items one at a time; or find items you like, then teleport to the inworld stores - if the merchant has one - to buy there.

2) Make sure you are inworld when you make Marketplace purchases. If your notifications are capped, any further notifications, including item deliveries, will be lost in the ether, never to be seen again, and you will lose the items!

Alternatively, whenever you have funky SL issues, CHECK THE GRID STATUS. Seriously. It answers many, many, many questions. Right now, give it time; your items should be delivered eventually, but Marketplace has been wonky for the last few days, as stated on the grid status page.

Lady Silverfoxx,

When LL [Linden Lab] gets the issues with the MarketPlace "Magic Boxes" repaired. They will flush out the pending transactions and your goods will be delivered or you will be refunded. Just have patience. This issue is known about and being worked on.

You can Create a Support Case to make sure that someone looks at this once the MarketPlace processing is back up and running.

To all merchants: Magic Boxes are a thing of the past. Time to move to Direct Delivery.
