Question

Greetings:

I am curious why there is not a "Stock Exchange", or a banking system for monies to be lended and invested? This is most curious seeming as this SL has just about everything else. Or, is the monies completely controlled by Linden?

There used to be several "stock exchanges".  However, these turned out to be pyramid schemes in which a lot of people lost a lot of money.  Linden Lab's current policy only allows you to operate a Second Life "bank" or "stock exchange" if you can prove you are a chartered bank in Real Life.
