Jobs in SL pay almost nothing, basically because there's no need for unskilled labor.  If you want money in SL, the best and fastest way to get it is to buy it with RL dollars.  If you are a skilled creator (scripter, designer, builder, animator ...) or a talented performer, you can earn a decent income.  Even then, though, you can earn a lot more in the same amount of time by taking a minimum wage job in RL.  If you have a marketable skill, advertize yourself in the Inworld Employment forum.
