Bandwidth?

I read somewhere in here that the best way to fix a blurry face is to increase your bandwidth, how does one do that?

if it is like rezzing problems..like taking forever for your textures on you to load.. it could be you need to turn off http textures..

 

i was on a couple of weeks ago and had a problem like that and turned mine off and it was fixed right away..

someone else may have better advice on it since i've not really been back in sl a lot this past summer and fall..

call your service provider and ask if they have higher bandwidth packages?

Increase the allowable bandwidth by using Preferences (Ctrl+P) > Network > Bandwidth.

There isn't really an upper limit, but there's not much point making it go higher than your connection speed.

Obviously, to improve your connection speed you'll have to speak to your ISP.

 

There's several other ways to fix blurry faces:-

• Clear cache
• Rebake
• Remove Tattoo layers

There is the SL upper limit actually.

Linden Lab servers run at 1500kbps max. Those servers will not run faster than that and if you boost your bandwidth above that, it is just wasted. You will not rez faster, tp faster, nothing faster.

ETA: You could also try rebaking or the refresh texture within the pinwheel when right clicking on your avatar.
