Why are so many photos of the days so dark ?

If a picture isn't bright , how is one supposed to like it ?

This is one of the most amazing pictures I've ever seen!

The contrast between the focused railings and the blurriness of the background makes the whole picture looks 3D (gogless free). I don't think it's dark, either.

An advice to you, sapro: Always appreciate a pic right from the original source (flickr) following the link on the photographer's name and zooming in to original size.
