"We have made great progress with our new website. Check it out here – we think you'll find it useful. It offers a web map, which you can browse directly and a searchable illustrated database of available stamps. Each entry in your search has a View on Map button to show you exactly where to find it. If your viewer supports it, you can then go to the location directly from the teleport link on the map! Failing that you can just copy and paste the SLURL." Read more on the blog.

"I am delighted by the participation in this years SL20B Event. I personally thank the BBB Team – the greatest team in SL –for all their hard work, including the laborious hours they put into its success. Amanda – who threw the parties and made all the stamps. Dave – who reset The Gazette I don't know how many times to include EVERY new stamp to be collected. Robert  – who fixed all my errors and mostly with a smile! Laurel – who worked overtime on passports, licences, and licence plates. Teresa – who had her own build at SL20B, but still gave us all she could." Read more on the blog.

"I just wrote about how Second Life was inspired by both the Metaverse of Snow Crash and Burning Man of orgiastic arts festival fame, and the SL20B exhibit has a cool installation that demonstrates both: A giant butterfly and flower created in Second Life - that was then exported as a design and built in real life at Burning Man!" This is a summary of that session, with the video embedded at the end." Read more on the blog.

"Along with many other SL groups, creators and designers Bellisseria's bureaucrats, consultants and diplomats are waiting to meet you at Second Life's 20th Birthday Celebrations. Our build is in keeping with the futuristic theme of the event. It's a space station, accessible by rocket shuttle from our surface location; BBB Liftoff at SLB Delightful." Read more on the blog.

"It's hard to believe our virtual world is two decades old. Twenty years ago the initial Second Life® was smaller than the area set aside this year for its 20th Birthday celebrations!

SL20B begins on June 22nd and continues to July 11th. Of course no other metaverse has Second Life's storied past, but the theme for this year's celebration is "the Future." We have embraced that with enthusiasm. Whatever humanity's future has in store, we're confident bureaucracy will be part of it!"

"Much of our bureaucratic work is about promoting awareness of Second Life® geography. The Mainland Continents and Bellisseria are locations in a (mostly) connected virtual world with terrain, oceans and airspace through which our avatars can travel. Many residents love to traverse it in vehicles, trains, boats, planes or space craft. Why, when we can teleport instantly to anywhere we want to be? Because we want to get to know it; to experience the shape of it rather than just tp'ing thoughtlessly from place to place." Read more on the blog.
