"Blogging, especially about Second Life, can become an incredibly time-consuming holiday, and life events conspired to make it impossible to continue. But I always thought I’d be back, perhaps not to publish updates as frequently as before, but still writing about the virtual world that is still my second home.  What’s happened since I was last here?" "Each December, it has become my habit to offer a general look back on Second Life’s progress through the year – as I recently published for 2022, using the Lab’s own look back as a foundation (much as I did in 2021). In some of these looks back, I’ve included some personal notes on my own times in-world, although of late I’ve let that drop away, as is seemed rather self-indulgent. However, to break things up a little as 2022 draws to a close, I thought I’d toot my trumpet again and look back on the year and what it has meant to me." Read more on the blog.

"It’s nearly National Novel Writing Month! In case you’re unaware, NaNoWriMo (and, yes, it really should be called International Novel Writing Month, I know; let’s accept there are more important things to get riled about right now and let it lie) is the act of writing a 50,000 word novel within the 30 days of November. If you’ve never tried it before, there has probably never been a better year than 2020 to give it a go." Read more on the blog.

"The Canary Project sponsored the Grid Drive last weekend. If you don't know what the Grid Drive is: there is this group in Second Life called 'Drivers of SL'. They organise a weekly drive around one or more continents on the Grid. Parts of the drive may include flying or boating. The drive often has a specific theme, takes a few hours and is good fun to be part of." Read more on the blog.

It Was Just A Scattered Dream Between the Ocean of Our Souls

"I always have these best intentions when it comes to blogging, but I don’t have it in me anymore to create images. This is not for a lack of wanting to, but I will spend hours trying to work out a scene but if there is no meaning to me… I just can’t. I remember years ago I had done seventeen photos in one month and was not even feeling burnt out." Read more on the blog.

"Todo comenzó en la fase alfa de Second Life (llamada entonces Linden World), Linden Lab quería probar un nuevo motor de renderizado, la viabilidad de un paisaje urbano y otras pruebas generales de contenido. Esta ciudad se construyó en la región de Natoma antes de que ningún usuario que no fuera empleado de la compañía se conectara a SL, este lugar no tenia ningún nombre oficial, pero a menudo se le llamaba «Linden Town» o «Linden City»." "Now, ordinarily, I speak my own stories, but today, since we’re approaching Pride Month in the United States of America, which is apparently a country in her Reality, which she tells me is somewhat different from a Realm as I understand it. When I remind her that I as a character came in fact from a Reality and not a Realm, she grudgingly allows that this is in fact true, but this Reality is even different from my original Reality." "Welcome to the February selection of the year from the SL Calendar Guys group and to the new publishing date for it monthly. This is the second month where I am publishing mid month and it is making life a lot easier for me and hopefully you guys don’t mind so much.  I wanted to reiterate the process behind Calendar Guys, as with the Girls calendar, the selection is purely my choice of my favourite images I see in the group over the course of the previous month. I am by no means an expert in photography or editing but the photos I choose each month have stood out to me for a myriad of reasons. I would love for the Guys calendar to become as large as the Girls one so, as always, if you know of quality photographers of male avatars, please encourage them to add their work to the group each month." No time for real life - 2.jpg

"I hope by now everybody has arrived in the new year and is ready to face all the challenges that are ahead of us. So I was in the middle of this dream and then I woke up and the world changed almost overnight. People started to come out of their homes ( a little bigger than they were before they were isolated ) and smiled and they started to hug again." Read more on the blog.
