No time for real life - 26.jpg

"We have so much to be thankful for. If I think of material things we can name a warm bed and clothing and family and friends. I also think of the social aspect of Second Life and how it has helped so many people to interact with, especially through the pandemic, but also during times when some could not be mobile to meet people and socialize." "The opening party for ReConstruct was a great success. DJ Viv gave us two hours of period music to match the 1940s/1950s theme including some songs that reflected the pre-apocalyptic, dark humour of a tougher generation than our own. Cate Infinity of Infinite Productions, Dave of the Limoncello Art Gallery and their guests danced among the exhibition’s artworks in the bombed-out ruins of a building in Tempelhof on a remote, forgotten German island." "He was just dying to dance with me and finally ask. Here is one of those phrases in the English language that is perplexing, because I translate it literally. I would not want someone to die over me. However, there is a big difference when someone is dying of something and dying for something. I know you are dying to know more about this." "As regulars to these pages will know, one of the aspects of region design I tend to keep an ear out for and appreciate, is that of a well-crafted ambient sound scape. In fact, not only do I listen for local ambient sounds when visiting regions, I also use them in both my public and private builds; hence why I was intrigued when my Redoubtable Region Spy Shawn Shakespeare (SkinnyNilla) passed me an LM to Hear How Your Landscape Should Sound, and decided to hop and take a look (and listen) sooner rather than later." "Nomad has been spotted near the beach at Templemore Cove." echoes the muffled voice over the radio at the  government facility. The message comes from a helicopter over the cove. They were searching for him after receiving a tip from Templeton law enforcement who were warned not to engage." Read more on the blog.

"I was ending a beginning, a pain no one hears,
Efforts are fading, tools breaking, a machine rusting its gears,
A tape bandaging, a heart’s breaking, ten billion pieces I fear,
A sorrow dancing, a joy curtaining, my demon reappears,
A continued suffering, a lesson keeps learning, nobody’s here,
A bright lip radiating, a sorrow concealing, a droplet was crystal clear,
I was faking while revealing, a smile amidst the tears."

"On Tuesday at 6PM SLT I will DJ at the Basement Club and I will play some songs about our country and the red, white and blue. Request your favorite...and let us honor 13 of the fallen. It is not a political rally, it is for us to be together, no matter what country you come from, no matter party you vote for, no matter what color, religion." Read more on the blog.

"Inspired by the Roman Strategy Table from Del-ka Aedilis, I created this scene of a Roman noblewoman seeing the plans laid out by her husband and then praying to their ancestors, perhaps on the eve before he goes into battle. All the decor pieces as well as the house itself are from Del-ka Aedilis Civitas series, which does a wonderful job of capturing various aspects of Roman life. Note that I did size down the house as well as the decor for this photo since my avatar is small by SL standards." Read more on the blog.

"I realize that this is probably not the right way to use Flickr, but I'm hungry to communicate with others since I don't leave my land in SL every day... I've asked you guys a few times to help me with something I didn't understand, but today I want to answer your questions for you! You may ask me only one question per person. I will try to answer all questions as honestly as I can, but there are some that I just can't answer, so at that time I will accept one new question." Read more on Flickr.

"One of the ways in which I keep my finger on the pulse of Second Life is to head to YouTube, do a search for “second life”, then sort the results in reverse chronological order by the time they were uploaded (i.e. most recent videos first). Usually, I scroll back 24 to 48 hours to see what the latest SL videos are, and I always find something to delight and surprise me." Read more on the blog.

"Hard to believe that 10 years of my life I spent in Second Life. Many hours of exploring, chatting, creating, and discovering. 10 years is a decade of time one never thought of have spent in a virtual world, but yet here I am. It is not a loss of really anything." Read more on the blog.

"Every year like clock work the day of ones birth comes around. In Second Life it is known as ones Rez Day. In real life it is ones birthday. Birthdays are about celebrating life. It is to celebrate the person being part of this universe and how their life might have touched others. To celebrate with them while they are alive. Some people like to throw celebrations and birthday parties. After all, everyone loves a birthday party, right?" Read more on the blog.

"There’s nothing I love more in Bellisseria, the Linden Homes continent, than visiting and discovering how others decorate their homes, for better and, many times, for laughs. Sometimes people forget or don’t read the Covenant and the results range from the very annoying instant security orbs that send you home when you’re sailing or flying near them to the really amusing out of theme stuff like Sci-Fi decor in the Victorian neigbourhood to the pets running on the roof (which is technically not against the Covenant, but it is funny)."
