"There's this moment in Mary Poppins where they jump into a chalk drawing. A moment of gasp and wonder as they dust themselves from leftover chalk in a magical countryside village. I always wanted to jump like that into a drawing or a painting. I wanted to jump into the film to this place of wonders called... London." Read more on Flickr.

"Are you planning a romantic dinner for two? If so the Holly Set dinning table with Pergola by Shutter Field is perfect for you. I also placed a few things from the current round of Swank to increase the ambiance..." Read more on the blog.

"For those of you who don’t have any idea what the Cleveland Street reference pertains to, it is from the movie The Christmas Story. Cleveland Street is where Ralphie, the main character, lives with his parents and brother. I imagine this house could be next door or down the street and perhaps this is where Flick or Schwartz lives. Regardless, it is a home of snow forts, snowball fights and a little BB gun target practice for sure." Read more on the blog.

"For some people, it can be quite the chore to wrap those wonderful gifts that will literally take one minute to unwrap on Christmas day. Several hours of labor of love resulting in a short shredding session hahaha! It is quite mad when you think about it. Is it worth it? Hell yes! I personally find it very relaxing to sit down on the ground, surround myself with lovely Christmas paper, Christmas music playing in my ears, and a nice hot chocolate with whip cream and a splash of Bailey’s! Makes it for such a wonderful wrapping session in my opinion! " Read more on the blog.

"Well Christmas in real life is turning into a whole cycle of emotions over on this side of the pond. For weeks we have been told that there would be a five day relaxation of the ‘tier’ rules over the Christmas period. I personally thought five days was a bit excessive and Christmas Day and Boxing Day would suffice." Read more on the blog.

"It always seems so strange to me to start without saying ‘hello’ but it shouldn’t be that strange since I’m writing. I’m trying to resist doing that so much but then I get confused on how I ought to start. Do you say hello when you begin writing or is that just my life now?" Read more on the blog.

"Morning has broken with not a cloud in the sky and not a temperature to be seen, the frosty morning sharper than ever before. A sun with so much light and no heat peeked through the window. Perhaps even it was looking for a place to keep warm. The room was filled top to bottom with joy. The sun knocked gently on the window, "Can I come in?"" Read more on Flickr.
