"Sa Runa is a beautiful destination in Second Life that falls under the category of “Parks and Nature” in Second Life Destinations. Owned by the group of the same name, Sa Runa, visitors are welcome to join the group freely and at no cost, granting them the right to rez objects (with the recommendation to clean up after use). This feature is particularly useful for photographers and those who enjoy rezzing boats and other items." Read more on the blog

Virtual Hotels - 7.jpg

"Three and a half years ago, one of my initial forays into virtual hotel reviews involved The Lotus Palace—a meticulous rendition of a real-life luxury hotel in India.

Its level of immersion and attention to detail was incredible; in the extensive catalogue of over two hundred places I've seen since it remains one of the gold standards for SL Hotels and Resorts.

Sadly, it’s long gone, along with its sister resort, the safari-themed Kidaka.  However, their creators, Magnolia and Beric, are back, having built an adult resort inspired by Montenegro's Adriatic charm."

"Second Life has hundreds of bars and lounges with a wide variety of styles, designs and entertainment offerings.

Having been to a great many of them, I’ve selected a collection of twelve standout destinations. These venues are not just places but experiences that encapsulate adventure and romance, making them perfect for an enchanting evening out, especially with Valentine's Day just around the corner.  They also largely act as a gateway to more attractions in the surrounding area, which I talk about.

However, their appeal isn't confined to special occasions; these spots promise a delightful visit any day of the year. "

Virtual Hotels - 3.jpg

"Every week I search for Hotels within the Firestorm viewer, which in the recent past has led me to hidden treasures like The Continental.  This week doing so had me stumble upon the Bravin Hotel.

This modern themed venue, replete with amenities such as a dining room, spa, pool, small beach, and mini-golf course, sparked my interest after navigating in search through a sea of adult clubs masquerading as Hotels.

While there were aspects of the Bravin that appealed to me, such as its well-appointed rooms and spa, this appeal was somewhat dimmed by its high price tag in comparison to similar options.  I also wondered if much of the space could have been better utilised."

"When it comes to the history of Second Life, there are many who may claim to hold some of the facts and figures and legends and tales. However, were the truth to be told, there is really only one person who has spent years carefully building what is perhaps the most complete history of Second Life’s long and growing history, and then synthesising it down in a manner that can be easily digested and appreciated: Sniper Siemens."
