"Winter in New York is a new resort experience from the team behind Timor Isles, which has now closed for the Winter. It includes a variety of New York themed attractions (Central Park, the Rockefeller Center skating rink, the Statue of Liberty etc), spread around a series of streets designed to look like Manhattan.  Around the sim you then have hotel rooms of varying size and cost." "England’s Birmingham City may at first glance appear to be an odd choice for a parcel theme; the city today is typical of modern conurbations and to those from beyond its borders perhaps seemingly unremarkable and famous only for a particular motorway / trunk road interchange. However, the city has a long and notable history, one that dates back to at least Anglo-Saxon times as the settlement for a local clan from which its name is derived – Beormingas (“Beorma’s People”), although whether or not Beorma was an actual clan leader or a mythical character associated  with the people who settled there isn’t actually known." "Today we are going to visit Snow Globe, the wintry sim where some of us have been styling abodes in that 50 land impact manner. Not only is it lovely landscape, it offers free houses and skyboxes. Partly because I try to pay attention and partly because I seem to be very lucky in the apartment, house and land areas -- I garnered this oh so cute cabin in a fit of speediness.
