"This weekend it appears Linden Lab are bringing in new residents through the new Welcome Island in Second Life when using the default Second Life viewer. For many years when new residents join they go through Learning Island and then the Social Island. The new user experience has been completely been revamped with a new layout and a new Welcome Island Guidebook." Read more on the blog.

"The gallery at Elven Falls seems to specialise in exhibitions involving four artists. The latest, called (for no particular reason we can discern) Banksy Goes Wild at Elven Falls, opened on Sunday 18th September. "More Fantasy regions have now been released since Friday 13th August 2021 for those that want a new Fantasy Linden Home. The fastest way of claiming a new Linden home is through the Second Life land selection page. There is plenty of choice now from traditional, houseboat, camper, stilt home on land, chalet, log home and now fantasy. There are more themes in the works but they are unknown at this stage." "The Sub-continent of the new Fantasy theme of Premium Membership Linden Homes started coming on-stream on Thursday, August 12th, with an initial three regions being release, those with more being made available from the 13th onwards." Read more on the blog.

"Just before 4pm SLT today the new Fantasy sub continent got released and already there is 30 people in the Solstace region along with many Moles for testing purposes. There is a new water connection opening shortly between Rigamarole and SSPE2539 it is believed. "The Moles have recently added at least 185 regions for the new Fantasy Linden Homes sub continent which is due to open to the public within the next few weeks hopefully. There are some areas that it could be connected up with the mainland of the Bellisseria continent via Nelson Eddy, Hanshin, SSPE1456 (south side of the log homes continent). "On Saturday 31st July 2021 a new batch of roughly 125 green Fantasy Linden Home regions appeared south of the Bellisseria continent in Second Life. They are all located just east of the Retrograde region in a sub continent layout. "In Second Life, residents may pass a calling card. If you have someone's calling card, you can easily view their profile from your inventory, by double clicking the card. Recently I noticed my calling card I had placed in a new note had my original name prior to my name change. I wondered why this wasn't updated and found out it is due to my UUID."
