Three Twisted Knots - 6.png

"Well, Fae Awenia is now Home, whatever that means. I’m getting the lay of the land, learning the way from here to there and back again, for whatever that might be worth. For my first job, Her Majesty assigned me to get the new Fae Court building into shape, make sure it all works—basically make it pretty. You’d think that would be easy, but some of the stuff she’s acquired at the Faire is littering up the area, so that had to be dispatched before anything else." Read more on the blog.

"In the ever-evolving landscape of the digital age, the quest for spiritual connection and religious community has found a new frontier: the virtual world of Second Life.... As a Chaplain serving in Second Life, I’ve had the unique opportunity to witness firsthand how this virtual realm has become a sanctuary for many, offering a sense of presence and community that is often hard to find in other online platforms." The Good Gorean - 3.jpg

"Today's post is all about the people of Torvaldsland, Vikings and all the Northern cultures who endure the harsh winters and jarring temperatures on Earth and other fictional worlds. Earth's most weather-resilient cultures have lived in these conditions for a number a centuries – special diets and survival skills to brave the elements are essential to these long-standing communities and the inspiration of so many role-players that take their storytelling seriously." "We are three months into the year and Second Life® has been a "busy bee" with events, professional conferences, fairs and a number of activities to accommodate and welcome new users in the age of the COVID-19 pandemic. Museums, art galleries, non-profits and music are also a focus — artists and support groups are often promoted on social media platforms and the Second Life® Destination Guide. The almost 18-year-old virtual world is vibrant and growing, but more is coming for 2021." Read more on the blog.

"Welcome to the February selection of the year from the SL Calendar Guys group and to the new publishing date for it monthly. This is the second month where I am publishing mid month and it is making life a lot easier for me and hopefully you guys don’t mind so much.  I wanted to reiterate the process behind Calendar Guys, as with the Girls calendar, the selection is purely my choice of my favourite images I see in the group over the course of the previous month. I am by no means an expert in photography or editing but the photos I choose each month have stood out to me for a myriad of reasons. I would love for the Guys calendar to become as large as the Girls one so, as always, if you know of quality photographers of male avatars, please encourage them to add their work to the group each month." "A couple of years ago I was listening to a talk at BVN by another blogger. I think the specific subject was dealing with rejection, growing as a blogger and consistent improvement. I think most bloggers and photographers are always looking for ways to improve their craft but she has some very wise words for the bloggers in the audience and, generally as a life tool." "Todo comenzó en la fase alfa de Second Life (llamada entonces Linden World), Linden Lab quería probar un nuevo motor de renderizado, la viabilidad de un paisaje urbano y otras pruebas generales de contenido. Esta ciudad se construyó en la región de Natoma antes de que ningún usuario que no fuera empleado de la compañía se conectara a SL, este lugar no tenia ningún nombre oficial, pero a menudo se le llamaba «Linden Town» o «Linden City»." The Things We Never Talk About Part I

"I have been fairly open about my struggles with my mental health. Mostly because as much as I struggled, I have always been on the other side. I would still be in that tunnel, but I had already crawled through the darkest part. I was where the light at the end of the tunnel was bright enough to light through where I was walking. I would tell myself that no matter how bad it was now, I have endured worst." Read more on the blog.

That Time I Asked Everyone To Go Caroling with Me

"This is the photo that I mentioned I was working on yesterday. While I’ve been planning on this photo since probably Thanksgiving, I procrastinated far too much. Regardless, I am so happy with the result. This year’s prompt was, “Pretend I asked/forced you to go caroling with me.” I felt like it fits because it’s like when I have these random projects and cajole my friends to take part with me."
