Three Girls in SL - 4.jpg

"Tucked away in the very north end of the 14 region “City State” of New Babbage (more about New Babbage in a later article) is probably one of the biggest buildings of the city.  Brunel Hall. I first stumbled on an earlier version of the hall years ago when i was exploring the grid visiting various steampunk and Victorian themed regions.  In 2012 when i stayed at the hotel it was much smaller, having only two floor, since then its been extended out a lot into 5 floors in total." "The Sea Horizon is a small hotel with twelve rooms and a pool.  I came across it while doing one of my regular hotel searches in the SL directory, and decided to take a look, renting a room. Though I wouldn’t class it as a vacation place, as it is simple with limited facilities, the rooms themselves are quite nicely done and there is a fairly large pool.  As a result, this could be an option if you want to base yourself somewhere temporarily." "As the sun rises over Awenia in its still-incomplete form, I’ve been thinking about the Realm Rebuild and why it’s so important to me. "Before I started this website, the only Second Life hotel I’d really heard of was the Essencia, which did a good job of simulating a four-five star city hotel in RL. With the hotel having been around now for four years, owner Sérgio Franchinni has revamped and relaunched it.  It’s been moved to a new region, and all the public areas and rooms have been given a complete makeover." "Here are some pictures of the newly designed London City Gateway region. Based on the Royal Parks of London, the London Gateway has a Second Life tutorial for beginners and clickable information boards for tourists who wish to learn more about the attractions in SL and RL London." "Recently Aria and I had been talking about the glut of tropical / beach themed resorts in Second Life, and the need for something a bit different. Cue the opening of Carmel Bay, which is most definitely not a beach place.  Instead, owned by Damon and Artie Jackman, Carmel Bay is a Yosemite Valley themed town and National Park with a mix of accommodation to rent on a nightly basis."
