Virtual Hotels - 21.jpg

"The Copperfield Estate and Winery is somewhere I'd put into the category of - great destination, not so great accommodation. The estate consists of a huge vineyard and wine RP experience developed by people who obviously really, really love wine.  Within the estate there's also a guesthouse with ten rooms and a standalone guest villa, which can be rented." Did Someone Say Cheesecake - 1.jpg

"Recently, I've been re-introduced to an old love...exploring SL!  For years, I was the "tour goddess" of Caledon Oxbridge University and my school's region, Jaguarland (and all of those tours helped with my study of virtual tourism and team-building)--I even served as the tour stream lead for VWBPE one year as part of an internship project." Virtual Hotels - 20.jpg

"Having now reviewed 30+ SL hotels and resorts, it's getting harder to spot somewhere that's unique, with many of the beach style resorts increasingly blending into one. Le Chateau cuts through that.  It's very different to other Second Life Hotels. Virtuality - 20.jpg

"I came across Kekeland looking for professionally built places with attention to detail and overall credibility. Lately, I’m exploring the creations of Terry Fotherington (on Facebook), aka Dandy Warhol (on Flickr). In the coming months, I intend to know other landscapers and visit (where possible) their creations inworld." Read more on the blog.

"In  2017 I visited the Butterfly Conservatory, the work of Ry Heslop. I found it to be an engaging visit – one you can read about in Of lepidopterans, owls, bugs and honey in Second Life. I actually lost track of the conservatory a little while after that visit, so was pleased to learn via the Destination Guide that it has made a return to Second life and has a new home and it went on the list for places to (re)check out." "Region Description: You have found yourself on the magnificent Island Kingdom built by Master builder Calein Flux.
Although the sim is currently open to the public, and we encourage others to enjoy the beauty of Sands of Time, please be aware it is privately owned and may be closed from time to time for private events or when the large-scale building is in progress." Read more on the blog.

Second Sighting - 4.jpg

"Right after I visited Hiraya Township, in Heterocera (mainland), and wrote about it, the place underwent a major reform. Though some parts remained the same, the central area around the train station has been completely redesigned, which makes a big difference for the whole area. I noticed some changes, too, in the village of Amakura, linked to main Hiraya." Read more on the blog.

Science Circle - 3.jpg

"The current pandemic has shown us the real value of educating the public about how scientific principles are applied to practical matters. Social distancing, masks, vaccines, tracing via testing are all practical steps to take in preventing the spread of diseases and all are the product of scientific research. The steps in moving a basic science discovery to the practical use of that knowledge or innovation have always been many and varied." Read more on the blog.
