"Art in Second Life offers a unique platform for creative people to express their individual originality. A captivating digital space that mixes the boundaries between actuality and fantasy, making it a thrilling spot for art lovers.

In this blog post, we delve into the mesmerizing exhibit of “Memento Vivere” by Selen Minotaur. This intriguing installation captures viewers with its intricate blend of changing images and 3D objects, all employed with a dark and light pop art sensibility."

"This picture above, though, just blew me away with the bold colors. This shows you how fantastical you can make our virtual world by playing around with the environment settings. I love the color intensity and how the flowers in the foreground almost become one with the forest thanks to the sun’s colors. It’s a great picture but it is not indicative of what you will find in their photostream, mainly because nothing is. Each picture is sui generis." Read more on the blog.

“This exhibit  presents a ballet in 10 to 12 frames, where the ballet is   developed  from original inception,  through recruiting,  getting in shape,  learning dance moves, becoming depressed and alcoholic,  a re-awakening of purpose, reflections on the meaning of life,  final  rehearsals and then finally a performance, and then aftermath.” Read more on the blog.

"If I say something is art, you might think of the Mona Lisa or the Sistine Chapel or the Impressionists, or some other iconic works of art. You know what art is, because your brain has all sorts of association it can link to, and those associations have been validated as art by just about the entire planet. Not many people are going to argue that the Mona Lisa isn’t art." Read more on the blog.

hot toast

"Zaque Hexem’s surreal art might make you ask, “But is it Second Life?”

He answers in the most Second Life way possible; he provides SL content credits. “Hot Toast” (above) is wildly inventive. Seriously, who thinks, “I have this beautifully engraved skeleton, I think I’ll  make some toast.”  Zaque, obviously, but who else?"

"Wherever you are in SL and whomever you are – your experience is highly individual – it is yours alone. No one experiences this environment precisely as you do, and, of course, the same can be said of our presence in the physical world. Our perception is uniquely ours and ours alone. So how does one communicate that experience, share that experience? How does one reach out and share a vision of how we see this world?" Read more on the blog.
