"Despite a few mixed feelings I have to say that I had a LOT of fun doing this mini-hunt at SL20B. I thought it was a recycling display and in some ways it is and others not so much. And I didn't know I was at SL20B until I went to take a picture of the café and saw the Moles Mandala in the background." Read more on the blog.
"There aren’t many things that can keep one happily glued to the computer for hours on end but the Woodstock Celebration Festival on 17 Aug at Chelsea did just that. The purpose-built stage was set in a gently sloping amphitheater just a short walk from the magnificent Hotel Chelsea, with speakers set up on a metal grid emulating the real-life Woodstock stage of 50 years ago. Blankets and seats were strewn about with ample space and opportunity for festival goers to sit or dance – both options were taken up." Read more on the blog.

"With the parties for SL’s 20th birthday now over and the celebration regions sitting a little quieter, those who have perhaps been put off by the idea of fighting the crowds and all they can bring with them (aka “lag”), might feel that now is the time to explore some of the exhibits presented by the residents and communities of Second Life. This being the case, I thought I’d offer a list of some of the exhibits I’ve particularly enjoyed dropping in to see." Read more on the blog.

"Once upon a time, a man named Philip Rosedale went to Burning Man…and the rest is history. Some say that it was Philip’s experience at Burning Man which inspired him to create the still-thriving virtual world of Second Life. And so it seems very fitting that, as the real-life Burning Man festival has been cancelled for the second year in a row due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we gather in Second Life for a virtual Burning Man festival." We are always unique and different. This year the aliens have abducted the Basement and the Dwellers and are on the mothership. Why not join us this week March 28 - April 1, 2022, and celebrate starting at 6PM SLT." Read more on the blog.

"Some theorists have traced Easter egg hunts back to the Pennsylvania Dutch (Germany) of the 1700s who believed that a hare called 'Oschter Haws' (Osterhase) laid eggs in the grass. Therefore, kids would build nests (which many symbolize today with the fake green "grass" that is placed at the bottom of the Easter basket) and search for the eggs." Read more on the blog.
