"Melusina Parkin is, as I’ve oft noted, one of the foremost photographer-artists in Second Life. Her work is always rich in content, style and interpretation, always offering the most unique views of our virtual world through composition, angle and focus, here exhibitions carefully crafted around a given theme. This is once again the case with her latest exhibition Ordinary People, which has just opened across all three exhibition halls at Vibes Gallery, curated by Eviana Robbiani, presenting three dozen images captured from across Second Life that brings the uniqueness of candid photography to the platform in both images and subjects. As such, this is, among all of Melusina’s unique exhibitions, one of the most captivating." Read more on the blog.

"ESCAPE in showcasing Black and white photos of a RL performance. Sophie de Saint Phalle put a big canvas (4×12 meters) on a stage and painted it in front of the visitors. Behind the canvas 10 professional dancers were waiting to cut the canvas and force their bodies through the openings to symbolize the escape from suppression, humiliation, brutality, disrespect and most of all the escape from indifference. At the end of the performance the canvas was cut into strips and sold." Read more on the blog.

"Owl Dragonash invited me to visit the newest exhibition at the NovaOwl Community Center named “Do You Believe?”. The exhibition is by Ninae Trallis und consists of about 20 pictures, but there’s more. Ninae added further 3D objects to decorate the exhibition space fitting to the pictures presented. Owl sent me a folder with a description written by Ninae Trallis and a poster." Read more on the blog.

This is a group art exhibition of not one but six individual exhibitions, with contributions from: Marina Münter; Rachel Breaker; Aldiladeisogni and Mavi Beck; Natas; Lux Chiantelle; and Yeya Zuta. Each exhibition takes up one floor of a concrete apartment block." Read more on the blog.

"Suzen Juel’s photostream is full of pictures she has taken at Second Life art installations. Some of the time she interacts with the installation as in “Bridge,” the picture above from Cica Ghost’s installation. I asked her for her favorite photo and she chose this one, explaining, “I LOVE Cica Ghosts work and had a chance to visit her sim. The lighting was already bright and warm so this one wasn't as complex as I can get with some.” " Read more on the blog.

One of the communities that, through individual and cross-supportive exhibitions, always offers much to see is the Second Life arts community, and in this article I’ve tried to highlight as many of those that I’m aware are participating in this year’s event. If I have missed yours, then I extend my apologies." Read more on the blog.

"If you shine a light into your subconscious, what do you imagine you’d see? Will it be clear images with easily relatable meanings attached – a clear roadmap definitively detailing what you know and believe? Or might the light shine upon overlapping images drawn from memory and incidents – along with a sense of half-submerged meanings, bobbing, sinking and then rising again – teasing you." "Deyanira Yalin’s digital manipulations have always been striking. Often deceptively bright, they sometimes seem to conceal something deeper, darker. Her aptly named exhibit, “Portals” in Janus Gallery II tears open the veil between realities. Each piece feels like a glimpse into a different parallel dimension, or a dive into a world of fantasy made real." Read more on the blog.
