"Today I was lucky enough to be online when in the Bellisserian Inworld Group (Bellisseria Citizens), people start talking about the final open of the new Linden Homes theme demo area.

"The migration of Second Life®’s simulators and services to the Cloud (AWS Services) has been a massive and on-going project. "We wouldn't usually publish on a public holiday. Instead, we'd give our journalists and photographers a break and let them spend time with their loved ones. This year, however, we decided to celebrate the Gazette's very first holiday season with a special edition. We hope you enjoy it! All of us at the BBB would like to wish you and your families the happiest of holidays and the most fortunate of New Years." Read more on the blog.

"On 19th November Linden Lab introduced a new Second Life public calendar where everyone can view upcoming Linden Lab sponsored events and user group meetings. I think this Google web based calendar will be very useful indeed for the Second Life community. It would be nice to see this calendar somehow built into the Second Life viewer etc under the Help menu soon." Read more on the blog.

"A few months ago I posted a couple of blogs calling upon the mesh body makers to give us more options of low render overhead bodies. Demonstrating (in extreme terms) the true cost of those individual "alpha-cut" segments on your body, and your poorly optimised rigged hair. By way of illustration here is a couple of screenshots."
