Wish we had a reply all...

The only problem with the RLV is that all viewers do not support it, for one, the Linden Lab viewer does not. The best you can do is request that people turn the tags off saying they will have a better experience, but you will never know if they do or not.

Hi, is there a way to turn name tags off so no one can see them? There are a group of us doing a show performance soon and it looks awful with all our names showing for both the audience and
on the film that is being made of it
?

Thanks

If it is only/mostly for the film, that you dont want it to show, then just make sure that the one that is filming it has it turned off, then it doesnt matter if others have it on, as it will only show on the screen to them and not the one that is making and taping the film itself..

For the film, you can have all of the people who will be filming turn off nametags in their viewers. If they have them disabled, it doesn't matter what anyone else sees; they won't appear in the film.

For the live performance, unfortunately you have no way of enforcing that people turn off name tags. You can reccomend that they do so, however, in a number of different ways.

Have an automatic notecard giver, labled something like "reccomendations," or "for best experience," or what have you.

And/or, you can issue announcements, starting a certain amount of time before the performance and ending with a final, on-stage announcement. You can make these annoucnements automatically appear in group chat with a greeter system, OR you can issue them personally. I would definitely make one on stage right before the performance, issued by you personally (or another host or announcer/narrator). Explain not only that this should be done, and why, but HOW.
