  1. clear cache works fine in cases like this. Some times needs 2 times clearing cache
  2. Hello!! How many time from the last maintenance in your PC? V2 and Phoenix viewers had either differents engines but works both with the same cache, log and configurations. I'm sure, you have somes archives damaged or corrupted. With Phoenix you can see your avatar but don't charge at all and only you see the "avatar for default" (the lady). The solution need some work but works very well. If you have made several previous installations and automatically for default, possibly a file has been corrupted from a previous installation.Try this. 1) Uninstall the viewer. 2) Use a program for delete damaged archives like CCleaner or another of your preference. 3) Delete the instalation folders from your viewer. Before uninstall, take a look at Preferences/Advances and take note about the folder's paths for logs and cache. Try delete all the stuff inside the folders, but you save logs, preserve that. 4) Now, you must clean the "regedit". Start/Run/regedit. You must see a windows divided in two parts; folders and archives. In the Edit Menu select "Find" and write in the box "Second Life". the sistem shows you many Folders or archives wich you must delete one per one. Some cases, only the archive, some others, the complete folders. If you use F3 the window will be showing you the next archive/folder to must delete. When finish this procedure, change the keyword for "SecondLife" (without separation between words) and you could find more archives and folders for delete.Often you can find here, the mother of all the troubles with SL. You could find a BIG list of instalation registered. Must be sure delete ALL the olds SL archives and folders inside. 5) Restart your computer and install again the SL viewer.   3. Hello. Yes, the last upgrades and actually Beta official working very bad. But in my case with V2, V3Beta and Firestorm I have the same experience with grafics issues. I improve a solution based in my experience and I used for post other answers here. Let me show you too, always could help and is apropiated for all the viewers!!!   4. Hello, think about. The video chipset onboard take resurces from the motherboard for your function and in case you are using many resourses from your CPU, could be you lost performance. Yeap, I know, you have a powerful i7 but ever happen because you have an ONLY ONE motherboard and can experiment some grafics issues. Always I prefair a video card with own drivers separated from the motherboard and installed in a slot (PCI Express2 today) because it has their own RAM, fan cooler, driver, etc. etc. For a fluid performance from your hardware "don't put all the eggs in the same basket" :smileywink: Regards, Adolfh

  6. Hello. You must to visit the website from your video card. Search at the Download section and select one of the drivers on the list. The procedure is very easy. When you finded the driver and are downloaded, only rest to install and follow the steps. Regards, Adolfh

  8. Don't worry!! The first time you rezz this happen. You need to load the inventory for later can see your avatar during this process, the others can see your avatar but not you. The white substance is "the cloud". You see this when the avi are not charging or when load the Inventory. Only rest be patience for a while :smileywink: Regards, Adolfh

I think on two posibilities. 1) your friend haven't the Quicktime upgraded or not installed 2) some viewers like Phoenix or Firestorm, first ask you if you would allow to recive some URL stream The point is, if all the people can see or hear the TV , the problem are localizated only in the pc of your friend and in this way the only probability must be are between this two.   13. I'm sure, you must should upgrade the video card driver. Today, the video card driver send you a notifiaction for available upgrade. In case you aren't from lot of time without this precedure, you must browse the website from your video card provider and search from the appropiate soft for your video card. Don't worry, the sistem detect wich is your video card and offer you the correct option. Do this and your SL viewer must run again. Regards, Adolfh
  14. Do you try reiniciating your modem or router either? Shutt off, disconect from the power net few seconds, and reconect. Turn on your modem or / and router again. Keep a while for the network engagment and reconnection. Probably your trouble now, are solutionated and you can access to the grid again. The issue is the protocol for differents internet services. Second Life, Skype, MSN, Email program, web mail, websites, etc, all of this service works with differents protocols and if one like Second Life can´t see the other side of the conection when you recive the message about DNS is because the viewer and the server can´t connect between trought this protocol but you can use all the others internet services and you can get to be confused by thissituation. Reiniciating your modem, you renove your IP connection and the server can read your access again Regards, Adolfh
  15. If you browse the web of your video card, could find a resource for detect the new driver for your card. Follow the steps like select the correct driver, download, install and reiniciate your pc. Sure you could loggin again in shortly time. Other issue. The last drivers for any video cards now can autodetect if you have available a new actualization. For example Nvidia. I have a GForce 9500GT with 1Gb RAM and notify me about the last upgrade for this device Regards, Adolfh

  17. Hola, si vos sos la vendedora, deberías chequear que tus productos estén bien configurados en la magic box. Lo verificás desde tu web store en el marketplace. Es evidente que en algun punto de la cadena de eventos que son necesarios para que el producto sea enviado o reenviado, algo no está funcionando pero esto sólo se soluciona revisando tus productos en la magic box o sino en tu cuenta en el marketplace. Verificá que estén enlistados y activos cada uno de tus productos porque sino jamás van a ser enviados. También tengo una web store y es lo que chequeo siempre cuando tengo inconvenientes de esta índole Saludos, Adolfh

Todos los visores para SL estan constantemente siendo actualizados, sea V2, Firestorm o Phoenix o cualquier otro y suelen tener bugs pero también se suma que el SO Windows en general siempre tuvo y tiene dificultades en el manejo de archivos y bibliotecas (DLL) Seguramente estás teniendo problemas en la instalación de tu visor (cualquiera que sea, reitero) y esto se deba a fallas generadas por la sumatoria de previas actualizaciones y los problemas del SO. Ahora paso a relatarte la solución que yo implemento cuando me sucede esto que vos contás que te sucede. Aunque es laboriosa, te aseguro que funciona y evita crasheos y caidas molestas. Haciéndolo tranquila, te llevará una hora cuanto mucho y volvés a conectarte a SL =) 1) desactivá la opción de autoinstalación y hacé cualquier instalación en forma manual. 2) desinstalar desde la carpeta en el Menú Inicio/Programas/Desinstalar (uninstall) 3) utilizá un limpiador de archivos residuales (ej: CCleaner) Cualquiera sirve para limpiar archivos y registro de instalación 4) Esta es la parte laboriosa .Borrá las carpetas de instalación que podes encontrarlas desde tu visor en Preferencias en Network& Cache (Firestorm) o Avanzadas (V2), donde podés ver los path o caminos de instalación de las carpetas Cache y Log. Entrás y cuando ubiques esas carpetas borralas. Solo preservá los logs que son las charlas de chat (siempre es util). Todos los archivitos tipo xml o cualquiera que no sea texto, borralos. 5) Y esta es la parte difícil jajaja Nah mentira, solo tenés que ser cuidadosa. Desde Menú Inicio/Ejecutar escribis "regedit". Te activa una ventana con 2 columnas. El regedit es el registro de todos los archivos y programas que se instalan en el SO (sistema operativo). El borrar algo en este Registro haría que algún programa dejara de funcionar. Se resuelve fácilmente retrocediendo a un punto anterior (si está activado) con el Restaurador de Sistema. En esta ventana vas arriba a Editar/Encontrar (Edit/Find) y escribis el nombre del visor. Por ejemplo Second Life. Cada archivo que te identifica, borralo revisando si es un archivo único o una carpeta completa. En tal caso solamente borras el archivo o sino la carpeta entera. Con F3 vas pasando a cada archivo o carpeta subsiguiente hasta completar la busqueda y borrado. En el caso del V2 repetí la búsqueda escribiendo ahora SecondLife (todo junto) y vas a encontrar otros elementos para borrar. A quien lea esto, les recuerdo que TODOS LOS VISORES PUEDEN ATENERSE A ESTE MÉTODO 6) Una vez completada la limpieza del regedit, ahora debés reiniciar tu ordenador/pc/computadora. Solo por gusto, chequeá con el limpiador nuevamente a ver si surge otro archivo perdido. No sucede usualmente pero puede pasar. Ahora entonces solo resta INSTALAR EL VISOR. Obviamente tendrás que configurar todo nuevamente. Espero que esta ayuda te sea de utilidad. Saludos, Adolfh
