Why would it be a wasteland?  Almost everyone using any of those bodies are adult and keep on as normal.  If Maitreya or any other brand sees a reason (like profit) in making child compatible bodies, then they will.  This won't affect anyone but those wanting to make child avatars.

You say it correctly: IF. But they don't have to.

What minors are you protecting? There are no minors here. There are no real life children in SL, unless they are violating the age limits established in the ToS. This isn't about protecting minors. It never was. It's about LL protecting its public image by doing nothing of substance, and it's about all the Helen Lovejoy's out there screaming in hysteria "won't someone PLEASE think of the children." This is a platform for adults, with characters controlled by adults. If LL wanted to protect minors from bad influences, they'd close the last stretch of the age limit of users to 18.

Sure ... can you say that with 100% certainty?

I got the impression that the thread was primarily for others to gauge if their avatar would be carded at a liquor store. It was quite obvious that you are clearly a child avatar that I thought you were making a somewhat jokey post. I almost posted this picture in a similar vein:

I would grab those 2 by the ears if I see them trying to buy cigarettes :P

But um yeah and I still find it weird and it is not my thing. But cartoon characters, that look like children, are not actual children. So how can you sit there and compare say Dennis the Menace to an actual child. That is absolutely unfounded and disengenuous.

There are tons of countries in the world were the "act" of ca/cp, imagery (films, pictures) and depiction (3d rendering, cartoons) are against the law.

  5. So if you think the avatar looks like: a child (17 or younger) then react with a like, for an adult (18 and over) use thanks, and use confused if you can't tell based on physical appearance alone.

Please don't respond to individual posts with written comments just use the reaction icons.

Not a child. Especially since children don't dress in such attire.

& @Rowan Amore these pictures are made with an avatar that is 1m55/5ft08 (the height that I use for years in SL), bewbie size 45 with an LaraX body ... The one in the other thread was a Legacy Classic body, that was 1m34, with bewbies slider on 30, to proof that you can use any adult body to create a childlike avatar. The pics in here are to proof what for impact the windlight setting might have when someone is AR'ng somebody (settings used in both pics are Midday & Midday Legacy).
