  1. *Sigh* Why drag Maitreya into the conversation? Ah, 1 % of the users of this body is abusing it to make a teen alt with it, so we will scr*w over the 99% that is using the body as intended. Don't know if you know it, but the Legacy Perky body comes with a Petite Add-on included in the folder and with the correct deformers, which are available in SL in a wide range, you can make it so that it looks like a teen. In fact, you can make any adult body that is current available in SL to look like a minor with the correct skins, heads and deformers. Shall we ban all head creators, body makers, deformer creators from SL?
  2. Wrong, "Moderate" doesn't allow promotion of sexual activities in public nor private: "Residents in these spaces should therefore expect to see a variety of themes and content. Stores that sell a range of content that includes some "sexy" clothing or objects can generally reside in Moderate rather than Adult regions. Dance clubs that feature "burlesque" acts can also generally reside in Moderate regions as long as they don't promote sexual conduct, for instance through pose balls (whether in "backrooms" or more visible spaces). However if any of these businesses uses adult-oriented search tags, the region may be categorized as Adult and blocked from appearing in non-Adult search."
  3. True, but sadly behind each avatar there is a real human being.
  4. *facepalm* You don't rezz nekid as newbie, the first time you log into SL. My base avatar looked like a bag of potatoes in a pink polkadot dress with a flexi skirt and something that you couldn't recognize as hair.
  5. According the ToS and RoC, upon you had to agree when creating your account. Afteral, LL is a private company and they dictate the rules.
  6. And I said that we, if SL/LL want the share of the market in the EU, don't care if it's not illegal or legal in the US, nor do we care where LL has their headquaters, even if there are situated on the moon. That means if LL doesn't take actions to comply to the EU, the EU is entitled, in worst case scenario, to block the product, SL, of Linden Labs. That means no growth, loss of a marketshare, loss of a significant usersbase.
  7. Still, I don't believe she understands it, but let me give an example that she may understand. Suppose she is a car manufacturor and according the American/US norms her cars are road legal. But, according the EU norms, they are not. Does she thinks she is able to export her cars to the EU, without adaptation to make them road legal in the EU ... Nah, I don't think so.
  8. I rarely agree with your points, but this is hitting the nail on the head.
  9. The EU doesn't care what the US thinks concerning their own laws, regulations, norms. Consider SL a product of LL, and in order to be on the market in the EU, that product has to comply to the laws, norms, regulations of the EU or otherwise it's not welcome. Just like chlorifided chickens aren't allowed to be imported in the EU, because they are harmful to the health.
  10. I am going to say it straight out: Bull. I have mentioned here before in this topic. The DSA (Digital Service Act) of the EU states clearly that depiction of CP/CA or imagery of CP/CA is not allowed on websites, social media, virtual worlds, even games. Failing to comply to the DSA puts you (company behind website, social media, virtual world, game) at risk of a massive fine, legal prosecution and/or in worst case being blocked of access from within the EU borders. Do you really think that LL is going to risk their marketshare from the European Union?
  11. It's a trend I am seeing in RL, where the victim is considered the offender and the offender is considered the victim.
  12. I explained on page 158 how my country sees age of consent in different age caterogies amongst teens, even if both have given their consent. Post have been hiden for a while till it got its approval from a mod, because I tend to call a cow a cow.
  13. My thoughts too ... if you as adult avie wants to run naked in the neighborhood of a dressed child avie in a M-rated region, who is at fault? Never heard of spacial awareness?
  14. "Second Life's Moderate designation accommodates most of the non-adult activities common in Second Life. Dance clubs, bars, stores and malls, galleries, music venues, beaches, parks, and other spaces for socializing, creating, and learning all support a Moderate designation so long as they do not host publicly promoted adult activities or content and do not use adult search tags. Groups, events and classifieds that relate to this broad range of activities and themes generally should also be designated as Moderate. Residents in these spaces should therefore expect to see a variety of themes and content. However if any of these businesses uses adult-oriented search tags, the region may be categorized as Adult and blocked from appearing in non-Adult search." Think it's pretty clear what a M-rated region is.
  15. Ever heard of the DSA, Digital Service Act of the EU? I suggest you read it a bit up, especially the part concerning adult sites or adult themed material freely accessable by minors. Don't worry, the EU won't come after you, but they may come after LL.
  16. So, I with my 5.08 ft avatar would be considered a child by you, ready to be kicked and AR'd? Just tried to adapt my avie to 6ft ... that's 1m83 for a woman. Sorry, but I am no giant, in RL and in SL. Get real.
