I don't mind an increase for a really awesome product or when I discover a designer I hadn't known about before, but if it's the same mesh outfit tons of designers use and it's just another "whatever" like a dress or shoes..I buy less in world now anyway, so the increase makes me think a bit more.And once you think about it, these creations are all digital, so once they are created, the product sells over and over again without any further effort on the designers part, so once they pay for their time to create and/or the mesh used as a template, the rest is profit. Look at Trompe Loeil or Scarlet creative. They have beautiful houses/furniture that are hundreds of Lindens at full price that they discount for Friday/Saturday sales at 50L-100L.It's a HUGE discount, however I think that strategy works for them because they always have tons of people buying, like me..

One thing I LOVE about second life is the ability to create individualized avatars from an almost limitless selection of hair, mesh heads, bodies, clothing, makeup, the list goes on and on.I spend a lot of time playing "virtual Barbie" and shopping for my gals..I have a few avs and they all look different but they are all white or fantasy oriented. I would love to make a Japanese or a black avatar but I'm wondering if this is a "no no"..considered cultural appropriation?I just see it as making a beautiful woman but I don't want to create drama by doing so..Thoughts? (please be nice, I'm asking from a place of ignorance)

There's a lips add on at I think..Avarosa? But it gives more of a parted lips look with a little teeth showing, but that's the closest I've seen to a smile.

I don't get out much but have to say, that is one of the most unique avatars I have ever seen..and yes, I agree.Guys should take the time to know someone, but unfortunately, most just want the pixel bumping..

Yep, totally true, some guys are SUPER worried about the woman they are interested in really being a guy IRL..so I guess if i had to I would but haven't been tempted to ERP in years so there's that..

I'm afraid to look, but I block anyone who has attachments that spam general chat.I don't need to hear about someone's ass being slapped, or choked, or giggles/shrieks..UGH.I also block guys who think just because I am a member of RP groups that I should be up for random sex.NOT. Had one guy say "well if you don't want sex, why are you in RP groups? DUH" Had a few choice words for him, then BLOCK.

Oh no..how sad. I bought a ton of clothes there when I started SL, and like others mentioned she was so generous with the fishing and lucky boards.My condolences to her family..😢

yeah I get it..SL traffic is down since my heyday for sure.There are so many cool RP venues I see come online and then they are gone in a few months because no one wants to invest their time in the startup of any sim (with rare exceptions) I just have a home sim with extra prims available and thought it might be fun to have a club set to my specifications and tastes.Figured maybe someone might like to manage as a side gig or whatever, but if the idea takes off great, if not, no biggie, it can be for me and my friends.I felt guilty owning a sim just for me and thought maybe I could share with some venues, but it's not like I have to..if that makes sense.

I am seeking a Manager/Hosts/Dancers for the club on my sim. It is an adult venue with an industrial/steampunk vibe.There are plenty of places to sit and chat with friends or dance on the main level, and on the upper "Gentlemans level" there are stripper poles and lap dance chairs for that naughty roleplay. I love pop/punk/new wave music from the 70's-90's so I'm hoping that the prospective Manager/Hosts will enjoy this as well. Now, totally new to the club venue thing, so if you are experienced as a Manager, IM me and we'll chat.I really want to be as hands off as I can. Optimally I would love to have events scheduled 2-3 times a week for a few hours, and we can build from there. A bit of what I'm looking for: ~A high quality mesh human avatar (male or female) with realistic proportions is required ~All positions must be over 30 days old and be over 18 years old in real life. ~You must look at least 18-no stuffed animals, pacifiers, etc ~Fluent in English with no translators for text and/or voice chat Manager: ~Provide general supervision of the staff as well as scheduling-treat the club as if it is yours. I have no desire to get involved with the day to day running of the club.If you need assistant managers, hosts or dancers, you will have discretion to do so. ~Schedule DJ's on the nights we are open or set up some hosts to interact and run streams ~Help DJ's with streaming if needed ~Quickly handle griefers, underage looking, nonhuman avatars or trolls ~Promote the events on social media ~There may be other responsibilities in time but for now these are the main ones. Benefits: ~You have say over staff hiring/firing ~You may have a place to live on sim with a generous prim allowance if you would like for free. Payment in Lindens can be discussed if you have experience. So just as an update I did send in a support ticket (not sure it was to the right department) but I did get an answer back as well as a refund within a few hours. It seems like the store is no longer on MP which is the real reason I took the issue this far as 770 L is not a huge amount of money-I probably spent way more than that in my time chasing all this down.So no one else will have their L's taken anyway.. I guess I'll have to learn to terraform better because I believe all those files are too large to put in a box. Ah well, back to the drawing board. Thanks for all your help!!

So does anyone have an idea how best to report this? Again I have sent messages and notecards to seller. So I filed an abuse report since that was all I could think of to contact LL about this..is there a better way?

I didn't mean to open a can of worms..sorry! However, I agree. It is wrong to leave your customers in the lurch like that.So far, I have not received any response from LL and am sort of bummed about that. You'd think they woulod want to remove items from MP that are defunct and are just taking L's from people. I am upper tier premium-whatever that's called and read somewhere we have concierge service but I believe it's only phone so will have to check into it. At this point it's not all about the L's I just want to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Ah, so theres not a way for them to add themselves to multiple roles, I'd have to do it as owner/admin?
