  1. I always have one home - I truly only want and need one. I love looking but the Gangway HB is one I was waiting for - however I thought to try my luck with traditionals when Aurelia came up to see if that lovely coastal bit might change my mind on traditionals. It didn't! I've had some enquiries about decor I used at my plot - send me a message inworld if interested - they were not my creations - all other creators !
  2. I've got a method I use for exact plots as well (or near as possible) - has always worked! Good luck at 10.30am SLT and welcome to the new neighbour (I am Gangway 2nd HB down in photo)
  3. Houseboats are currently the thing for me. Coastal locations are my favourite. Water also my favourite. The traditionals are pretty. But what I like about the boats is that as quite a detailed decorator you can pack a lot into open plan living. I also find all the builds are made on the large side but you can focus the details more successfully in a boat. During releases I like to try for specific plots and see how successful I am - the whole continent is beautiful and I find it fascinating. I don't have the obsession with this particular plot even though it's awesome and unique - would be great if someone here on the forum got it because I find that regulars here are welcoming. I have not advertised it as such anywhere else but I've had several people "take me aside" so to speak with offers and such. I understand - It is awesome. But it's totally a co creation if you get it or not. Having a release time might make no difference at all. Seems fairer to try. It's a lottery and you have to stalk a release and practically become a full time abandon hunter to get a home it seems. P.S. offers not accepted BTW!!!!!! Also - similar Aurelia style regions are being built - lots of opportunities coming up
  4. Releasing Aurelia at 6.30pm Sunday UK time, (tomorrow), which I believe is 10.30am SLT ?! Hope so! I won't post the house again on here beforehand - have fun whoever gets the place!
  5. That's basically how I imagine inworld plot stalkers look like in RL! Seriously though good luck to the person who lands it - although similar beachy ones are being built. I don't think there is a perfect spot I think it's just what works best for each person and if undecided like myself you find that out as you hop around - I think I am on my 16th location now!
  6. It's quite unique - very pleasant - you can watch them building across the water - if it had been a boat location would have kept. I like to open the front door and hop in the row boat - no messing about. Lazy I think it's called!!
  7. Thank you - I am UK we just had our big bank holiday I realise lots of people are US - it will def go Sunday (tomorrow) 😁 but as to when it shows on the page ......who knows!!
  8. 😎 I will release Sunday - did not want to do Monday in case a release happened and it got messy for people! Have to work out the timings - will update - it's a popular place!
  9. If you are able to have an alt for a little while that's a way of trying for it 😀
  10. **** Quietly puts this out there as something I will release this weekend **** Turns out I can utilise HB life more easily - I find the houses too restricting and I KNOW this is dream home territory for well, pretty much everyone who came down to the plot and talked to me since I moved in - some lovely people . SO heads up for beach, corner plot Light of Aurelia traditional - Light of Aurelia/86/230/0 (house on the far left of photo by the piers) Will obviously let you know when I press the button as I have to clear up but it's only fair to give some notice!
  11. Great tips! Everything I got was really down to putting in the hours and maximising the refresh rate. Manually - pretty much as described in this!
  12. I am being mindful of the coastal aesthetic and am trying and re trying different things lets put it that way re: decorating! It's been fun hopping around a bit I know people are coming up against not seeing the houses but they are there and that was my point really - the houses are there it's maximising your chances of seeing and bagging them that can be perplexing. I would say most of the ones I got were by also checking the drop down but you can go hours without seeing a single one. Your place sounds good!
  13. I feel good when I am there (Aurelia) and it has what I enjoy and was looking for - it seems to have been everyone else's favourite - for me one of many desirable locations. I loved all of those regions I got homes in but I feel happy currently. It was less a stress and more a fun experience "lets see how far we can go with this" but yes I am feeling more chill since not refreshing. that page!!!
  14. It's addictive but I had to have a end point (at least for forseeable!) I certainly boosted the marketplace economy at some of these places - each location a new and different challenge in the regions environment ! Plus every abandon is a catch for someone most of mine were abandons and fun they were!
  15. Now I've finished auto refreshing I thought it might be useful to list all the homes I spotted I managed to get and how (abandoned or released) plus why I left them. I didn't know what I wanted at the start only by exploring and living in these places did I find out so maybe this will be interesting to some looking for a home. These homes were in a combination of top of menu and in the drop down! (manual refresh sometimes hours at a time - demand still exceeds supply so this was the only way in my eyes!) Holton Center (a trad) very happy to get my first one but having seen the locations on the map decided to try see something different so got an alt on board to help. Wolfboro (r trad) very happy with this one overlooking canal and bridge - felt closed in and decided to see what houseboats were like to increase amount of water around me. Bellfry (a trad) no water. Sainte Helene (r trad) no water. Floaton (a hb) cute boat with view of lighthouse - decided I wanted lighthouse view with less lag / more space around me and probably a release. Kurenai (a hb) lag. Gazaway (a hb) twice claimed this one - view of houseboats no lighthouse. Slippery Wharf (a hb) lag and no lighthouse. Sagarc (a hb) no lighthouse. Kabuto (a hb) no lighthouse. Ness (a trad) lovely place near beach but not on it. Seal Point (r hb) best boat I got on the Seal Point corner of the canal. Loved it! Only gave it up for my current home - did so because was more of a lake life than a coastal life. Foxbridge (a trad) - no water. Kirbee (a trad) twice got this one - no water. Light of Aurelia - (r trad) - lighthouse, coast, corner plot, seaview but crucially makes me feel good, happy, relaxed which is what I want from an SL home plus I can watch the building happening over the water! This took weeks but the point is I think - it's okay to change your mind until you are ready to stop. Some of you will agree others will think I am too picky - I only worked out what I wanted by hopping. Also on certain days you can see and bag the same place twice. One of the best things I did was look after a release up to half an hour. You KNOW a release has happened and people will be swapping / dropping and moving on. I am sure whoever got my Seal Point abandon was wondering why!!
  16. Congrats on Pearlcoast whoever got one it's a beautiful region!
  17. Thank you - I gave it up for one of the four Light of Aurelia "lighthouse" location houses - it was still hard to do. I hope it found a happy new owner. I love houseboat life but I also love my new coastal life!
  18. Thank you! Not that I am aware of but I always push everything up to the max for photos so draw distance on full, sun and moon projectors, shadows etc all full. Full water reflections! Using a laptop as well I don;t know how it copes!
  19. Very glad to hear you have one - tons are being built so there will be more. I am not sure if they need to clean up after me - maybe they keep hold of them and release them manually / randomly. Good news though!!
  20. Houseboat made available just now photo and details above!
  21. Here's the houseboat I am about to release. Literally as soon as I've finished typing - I've cleaned up. It's on the corner of Seal Point and the canal as you can see. It has a sunset view and depending on your specs / draw distance a view of the whole lake and the lighthouse. Truly lovely home. We only need one home so this one is going to someone who really wants water. Let me know who gets this I am off to push the button!
  22. I might have something you will like within the next hour! Tough decision to make check back here within an hour
  23. Aurelia was released - we got one of the fantastic four homes
