Try an older viewer here http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versions , the SL version1 has the most intuitive user inface as well.

The bleeding and water slash sounds and swimming are already things that users have made and sell in SL.
As for the outer space idea, yes that would be fairly easy for SL to do say after 5000m up the sky turns black and some stars appear in the distant. However I would have to agree adding the floating physics would be a variable adjustment to take on after SL has fixed the crashes, message/notice system, textures, land textures, transparencies, glow, shine and the sky first.

Place rotation script in your Library > Scipts in the root prim, (your center pole). You may have to adjust the rotational variables of <0,0,1> to make it go slower with <0,0,0.5> or <0,0,0.05> or experiment. Change direction = <0,0,-1>. Add a bit of diagonal spin = <0,0.03,0.5> or <0.03,0,0.3>. Up and down spins = <1,0,0> or <0,1,0>.
To have people sit where you want then to use either a basic sit script in each prim you want someone to sit on, (or a pose script so they sit in different ways other than the standard sit and add that animation pose to the content of the prim) .

Any word on fixing the graphics for transparency, shine, texture, glow and land textures and the map and the clouds on a mac yet? First & last names yes, no more needs to be said. Why is this still an issue? How many years will this waste time while other real problems still exist? That's rhetorical of course.
Years ago some asked for custom names. Solution: allow new accounts to choose first AND last names, done. Old accounts would have to start over for inventory etc but that's the price to pay if your initial name is not good enough for those few, ( most really don't care since they have made a name for themselves based on what they have done ).
We have groups, group active titles and tabbers to add more details of identity so "other" names and titles are not needed, especially system based alternative names that have to constantly fetch information for profiles, local chat, group chat = lag.
SL knows the importance of selecting a custom last name, after all they choose Linden for theirs, if it had no value they wouldn't have bothered.

Yes they messed up the glow, shine and transparent on the last update and on this one they did not correct it, they only did little tweaks. We will have to keep using V1.23 until they resolve the problem.
A time consuming work around is to login to V1.23, log out of it and login to V3 and everything is ok but you have to do this every time before logging into V3 or the fix gets broken again on the next login of V3.

Yes they need to add save as LM.
The first place I found this missing was years ago in profile picks, you only have the option to view on map or to teleport NOW, if you are busy at the moment and can not go now so you most likely never will. However you could try to keep the profile open but minimized and hope you remember what it is and why it is there after you have finished whatever business you were engaged in when you found it... not likely.

There should NOT be ban lines at all, they are not needed since you have to be so close to see them, (even on high) then it's too late. I can understand if you could see them from far away, only THEN you would see them before hand to know to avoid them. However that would be even more ugly than now.
If driving or flying they just get in the way of caming around to see you vehicle to edit it and pull it out.
I agree, it was an old cool idea many years go as it presented a different state in a new type of environment but the ugliness has always been greater than the so called coolness. You would think that now the skies are more realistic as well as avatars and sims they would logically lose the ban lines to keep with the theme of realism. Keep the 'no entry' just lose the ban line image, save your and our energy and limit lag.
Ban lines could also have something to do with the amount of abandoned land as well.

SL like Youtubes and many others would have to close to remove all copyright materials and wait for a review to prove it has removed all of the material if ordered to do so by the government, this could take months or even years depending on the quantity of material.
However right now the responsibility of of filing a cease and desist order or suing for use of copyrights is up to the individual holding the copyright not the government since many willfully allow their copyrighted materials to be use by others as a form of free promotion to be seen by the main stream public faster, this freedom will be removed if this law passes.
Then again, this could all be avoided if SL moved to Canada which would be cheaper.

The hunts and games that are NOT the Linden Realms are made by other users and some of them may not be very well thought out or they may not work at all. I think in most cases they are attempting to add fun to their sims the best they can with the scripts that they have or don't have and some will be better at it than others. Try not to get too angry at a game or a hunt that doesn't seems to work all that well as I am sure the sim owners want them to work much more than you do because for you it only effects you but for them it effects all of their visitors. If you find a bad one remember it and try again in a week or two as they may find ways to improve it. Other than that just move on to the next one and hope it works as it should. Sim owners spend a lot of money to maintain a sim and a lot if time to add interactive features but it is still a part of the learning process for many.

Instead of using a script to set group permissions why not just edit the permissions of the car and set it to group? You would have to allow all to use it then set it to only group by deleting the "only owner" part and not adding a script for group only. This way you could save on both scripts making it more efficient and less likely to create lag for you, the sim and others. Just a thought.

Find out who the owner of the group is on their SL web page for that group and they can remove you from the group. But a tag would not be a reason you can not login, keep trying and when you can login just leave the group yourself if you still want to at that time.

A quick fix would be to go back to using SL viewer 1.23, the newest viewer seems to have a few problems with graphics just to add another layer of alphs tattoos to avs and http fetching, (me thinks).

I respectfully ask is it necessary to create 4 posts at one time about the same subject? Is the renting business really that slow that the posts can not be broken over time, say one every 5 or 6 hours? I was just thinking that SL is world wide so breaking the posts up would allow more people to see them from different time zones, just a thought.
