  1. Hmm, I don't understand that as I rezzed it in my house that only had 5 LI left to play with. Not that the tree looked like something I'd want to use at such a large size. I'm going to give it another try now... Back again. I freed up some space and had another go. Yes, I also get 8 LI for the Max size using the resize script. I can't explain how I saw only 1 LI before, but the result is definitely larger than tabletop size, it's pretty much the same size as my avatar. (I don't think the ceramic detailing looks very good or makes much sense at this size.) I was able to manually stretch it quite a bit and retain the one LI. The first photo is the tree at the original size, then 2 photos showing it at the max size using the re-size script, then back to the original size, and the last shows it manually re-sized to the limit of 1 LI. (It hasn't been moved forward on the sideboard at all.) Edit: 2 more images - max resized via script on the table (slightly below the table top to show that it is actually on the table and not in front of it) and original size on the table (ditto). if you're not seeing the same thing, try opening another copy of the box contents?
  2. Construct has 1 LI customizable 2022 calendars on sale for $69 and a customizable 1 LI string of polaroids for $29. Other similar items are also available. Their gift is this 16 LI ice rink and 1 LI ice rinks stairs. (You can even dance with Santa and his creepy-ass little friends, but they aren't supplied.)
  3. I've finally gotten into the Shop and Hop, so will see what I can find. This 5 LI Moon Bench (though demo model is only 4 LI) from Celeste might be of interest to Fantasy Home owners. It costs $75 per individual color or $125 for the fatpack. The free gift is the snowflake branch.
  4. There are some items on sale at Bloom! that might not be available at these prices for much longer. The Christmas table is 7 LI with all the deco items linked (I don't know if you can unlink them easily or if they leave baked on shadows). The cost is only $30 for the green, grey or red version. But be sure to buy it from the Discount wall, or you'll be paying much more. The Christmas sofa is also 7 LI, available in green, grey or red, and costs $35.
  5. {what next} December Potted Poinsettia - not a sale item; 2 LI and red or white petals, black/gold/green/red pot options.
  6. HEXtraordinary isn't doing itself any favors by not having display models for these ceramic Christmas trees - they're really lovely, especially if you place them on a light-colored surface, and only 1 LI each! You get all 3 versions (Frosted, Snowy, Green) for only $50. PS - I've also just discovered that they contain a re-size script, and even at max size (real tree size) they remain at 1 LI.
  7. Fantasy fans might want to consider this Fairytale Gazebo from Celeste which is on sale this weekend for only $50. However, it is 22 LI.
  8. Crate has some cute seasonal decor on sale - the suitcase is 4 LI ($50) and the wrapping paper is 3 LI ($50).
  9. Keeping in mind the chair from Brocante mentioned above, this is turning out to be the weekend of plaid/tartan seating. Consignment has a 4 LI (A) chair with leather pillow on sale for $50. And Merak is selling two armchairs (PG - $50; A - $75), in a plain blue or tartan, with some texture change options for the blanket. However, the Merak chairs are LI-heavy: the chair itself is 11 LI and the ottoman is 5 LI. Merak is also selling this 7 LI sled with tartan blankets for $60.
  10. Sale items at KraftWork: The 4 LI clock comes in 2 versions (with chimes and without) and the set also includes the decor items. $60. See the screengrab for further details. The Christmas Eve set costs $75 and is, I think, worth that for the lamp, mirror and candleholder alone! Details in the screengrab.
  11. And, even more Christmas-themed pillows! Koukla has 4 sets on sale, each with 5 1 LI pillows. The Jolly Noel and North Pole sets cost $30 each, and the Malibu and NYC sets cost $74 each. There's also a beer bottle Christmas tree (Copy or Trans) on sale for $50, but it's 30 LI
  12. First thing to keep in mind - if parcels in a region have the status of Protected Land rather than Linden Home, they're not yet available, and even if they are designated Linden Home there may be a considerable delay before they actually start being assigned via the Land Page. (As far as I can tell, different parcel outline color codes have been used for different levels of progress in different themes. For earlier themes, it seemed that the final just-before-release stage was red. But for large-scale releases of new themes, the change of status to Linden Homes is the important indicator that a region is ready.) For the Firestorm region tracker, it's important to give an unnamed region a descriptive label (something like "south coast, 3 regions west of _____ ") because once it's named the name change means the SSPExxxx region name will be grayed out, and you won't easily find it as the new name will not appear. You'll then need to go back to that region to track it again. (There's usually a considerable amount of time between regions being named and parcels being changed to Linden Home status during major releases.)
  13. The latter! Whenever a new theme is released, this thread is likely to be the best place to keep up with region names and releases.
  14. More chairs on sale, this time from Brocante - these 4 LI PG loungers are available in either red or green, with some textures change options for the cushion and ottoman. (Note: the ottoman is not separate.) $50 each.
  15. Weekend sales at You Need: a 9 LI hanging chair (PG) with several texture options for the cushions, $60. And a 5 LI chair in either white or blue for $60 each. (A fatpack with multiple fabric and wood options is also on sale for $159.)
  16. These 2 LI cabinets from Fancy Decor are on sale for $75 each at The Outlet.
  17. Yes, I would also have preferred an option for lighter exterior detailing... and somewhat smaller rooms. The Denver on a 1024 plot would have suited me perfectly, *sigh*.
  18. @Abnor MoleBoth the Conistons I've found have closed front and interior doors - could they please be opened? Thanks! http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Linden Reveal/226/93/22 and http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Linden Reveal/193/32/22
  19. The Reveal region is no longer red/offline, but is still inaccessible. Progress, though?
  20. The frame is from an Apple Fall artwork, the art was taken from a photography site I found online. (Those are all photos, not painting/illustrations!)
  21. Even without inspecting the LOD numbers, I always view the demo models from a reasonable distance, given these items will only be seen from within a single room in most instances. If the item doesn’t break up, I’m happy. Sometimes I’ve been surprised that a piece with a low LOD retains its form at a considerably greater distance than the numbers suggest. (With only a couple of exceptions, sale items I’ve posted in this thread are all ones I’ve looked at in person and found acceptable to me in terms of their integrity at that reasonable distance. In the last few months there have been a couple of sale items from Nutmeg that didn’t meet the cut, so I didn’t mention them. I did buy their Porcelain Collection when it was on sale even though a couple of parts didn’t meet my ‘test’, thinking I could use bits of it, but it didn’t work out. Their Porcelain Curiosities set, however, is excellent, and I was happy to buy it at full price. Photo shows the porcelain pieces at LOD 2 120m draw distance, using a bog standard desktop pc. The given LOD for the porcelain pieces I've used ranges from 1.9 to 3.6m at LOD 2.)
  22. This last item is my personal deal of the weekend - if you missed Nutmeg's recent mulled wine sale (late October), or even if you didn't, this set from No. 59 is definitely worth checking out - 2 LI for all items shown and only $50! (The official advert says it's 3 LI, but the display model appears to be full-size and only 2 LI.) This set also dispenses drinks.
  23. You Need has these (stylistically mismatched) sets on sale for $75 each. The desk is 6 LI (too much for what it is, IMHO) and the chair is 4 LI. The latter certainly wouldn't look out of place in a Meadowbrook 2.0 house
