It's okay with me that most avis are human, although I am also appreciative of the more diverse and non-human shapes out there. I understand that humans will tend to seek out human avatars naturally.

Female human avis are pretty to look at.  Sometimes I get a little envious that they look too good!

As someone who regularly uses a female human avi, I can't help put feel on edge when I see someone else with a male human avi, though. But the avis themselves are okay.

I like seeing non-human avis, though. They're awesome and unique.

    Define human.

If activated it should be allowed/choice for all not have to be paid for. if made mandatory it will make a lot of people upset.. especially those that play in inescapable rlv.. because then ll would have a way to catch who ever was breaking the tos by letting others log in to their accounts remotely or abroad at times.

The ToS has been changed to say that you are responsible for what happens on your account regardless of who is using it. In other words, allow someone else to use your account and that person breaks ToS, it's your account that gets the axe, not the person who was using your account. You.

  3. For many (most?) people, the more hoops they have to jump through to log in, the less likely they are to log in. Then there are those who don't log in from anywhere but home, although possibly on different devices depending on what room they are in.

Account security isn't something that should be charged for, it's part of the whole.

Personally, as long as it is opt in, I'm ok with it. If they ever make it mandatory, that is a different story.

Natural hair color packs that don't include a black color

AM I NOT NATURAL TO YOU!?

    I never got that either.

    Quote

Black hair is the darkest and most common of all human hair colors globally, due to larger populations with this dominant trait. It is a dominant genetic trait, and it is found in people of all backgrounds and ethnicities. It has large amounts of eumelanin and is less dense than other hair colors. In English, various types of black hair are sometimes described as soft-black, raven black, or jet-black. The range of skin colors associated with black hair is vast, ranging from the palest of light skin tones to dark skin. Black-haired humans can have dark or light eyes.

    1. Do the way that upper case (capital) and lower case letters are used effect the way you perceive a message?

    2. In terms of letter case, what's your preferred usage?

    1. To me, ALL CAPS feels like an urgent message, whereas "all lowercase" is a more casual message.

    2. If there's no rush I try to use "proper" capitalization. In something like a text or mobile message (like in Second Life), I may not even use caps at all (to communicate quicker.) I rarely use ALL CAPS. I use CamelCase for some of my usernames on MMOs (and Second Life).

    1. Of course. They're supposed to.

    2. Correctly.

    1. All caps is yelling, a sure fire way to get people's dander up.

    2. I won't read anything with this CamelCase bull in it.

My Universalist Quaker Group have been building a  "Quaker Anti-Racist Reading List" they made available to all members. Open discussions on the book list are planned as well for those members wishing to have open dialogue. I believe although a very tiny occurance, this is on topic. ☺

It's still a step forward, rather than backwards. Like my pistol training instructor said, "Whatever it takes." Even if it is baby steps. Doing something (even if it is wrong) is better than doing nothing.

When Americans forget that, while they're certainly the largest single group of residents, most of the userbase is not American, and America is not the world.

    It's not!?! :o

    I'm teasing.

    But!

I did run across this from last year (yeah I know... it's ham n eggs, I mean, Hamlet): https://nwn.blogs.com/nwn/2019/01/sl-web-traffic-mobile-facebook-youtube-similarweb.html

So yeah we are outnumbered... but only because there are more countries than just the US and the UK. :D

So what? It's a discussion thread, post here and expect people to quote and reply to your statements, especially when making a point that doesn't hold up, misleading other possible readers to think they may be able to adjust the hair or clothing in every possible instance if they chose to purchase a moddable item.

I neither said nor implied anything of the sort.

Oh nevermind. No matter what you will still say I'm wrong even though you don't have the first clue as to what I am talking about.

Good luck with repositioning rigged items. It is simply inherently not possible even if the permissions would be full perm. Have you ever wondered why a pair of shoes go to the intended body part even when you attach them to the head? Size and position is written the the rig data and you can't do anything about it, which is the reason for the fit mesh introduction, to resize items along with avatars.

On the other hand, non rigged items that are no mod can be repositioned and rotated on the attachment point, just not scaled.

Did I say anything about rigged mesh? No.

Did I say anything about changing attachment points? No.

Was my post directed at you? No.

I know...but its kinda fun poking holes in all his arguments. Only one person did it yesterday.

There are so many holes in his arguments they're nothing but one huge hole now. What he doesn't know is I was adopted by a white family and grew up the only POC in the neighborhood and the only FN in school. Yet, I was still treated like crap even though I could pass for white. I was different and that was the only excuse they needed.

I'm what is known as a Lost Bird.

Your argument is fallacious. The first thing I’d hope you did was call the police. Now what do you do when it’s the police trying to kill me?

My point was people did try to help. So in other words, someone is trying to kill me, you’re trying to help and two other armed police stop you from helping. That’s the scenario you’re describing bystanders as “cowards”.

Janet, you're wasting your time with that one. If he is a POC as he claims and happens to be FN, he would be what we refer to as an apple Indian, red on the outside, white on the inside. It's not a compliment. If he is black, I'd say he was an oreo.

The New York Times reported that microwave weapons were the prime suspect in the cases of illness in US embassies in Cuba and China. The embassy employees likely have suffered brain damage.

Don't tell Prok but there is a lot of difference between microwave ovens and microwave weapons. ;)

Whoa what? If I'm one of those allmodfans, I was actually referring to building/decor items. And I think there are at least a few others here who don't care about having mod perms on everything.

There are some things that should be no mod such as certain scripts. Most things though, need to be mod, including mesh clothing. There is no reason I should not be able to adjust the positioning, especially with hair. I should not have to adjust my head/shape every time I change outfits. The rest is just the creator stroking their own ego. Some of them have huge egos.
