    Oooh, better delete your account then, because you agreed to their terms of service before you were able to login the first time and those terms says they can use anything and everything you ever create or upload or say on the SL grid. So, as for that law suit: good luck with that.

    There are a few word game threads and photo gallery threads in these forums, so I thought why not have a mashup?

    Here's the challenge: Post a picture that tells a story.

    No rules other that that. It may or may not have people in it, but to tell a story it often needs to be a scene of some sort. Create new or post old pictures, it doesn't matter. This also is not intended to be only a gallery thread, the game part is to put a one-sentence caption to other people's pictures! (Quote the picture you are captioning, obviously or we won't know which you refer to.)

    Also, commentary, questions, and help on picture-taking techniques and tools should be considered on-topic.

    So I'll start with the first post. It's a repost from another thread, but (for some reason, I have no idea why) it's among the most likes I've ever gotten. So I suspect it is good fodder for captioning by the community. And please participate by posting your own 1,000-word stories as well!

    I was glad to see that at its max wind speed, you'd move through a parcel fast enough that a 15-second security timer wouldn't trigger. I'm guessing it still might not trigger on the next-to-max speed either. And yet even the max wind speed was nice cruising/sight-seeing pace.

    It's totally awesome, right? And I love that the creators still have the old-school mentality: It's about sharing your creativity with the community. :)

    Oh my! That's an excellent point. It is one that someone donated to SL community as open-source and of all the ballots *balloons (Hurray for auto-corrupt) I've tried, I like this one the best (how it handles) - feels very natural. I'll have to get in world and located it so I can see if it's still on marketplace, because it doesn't come up under "hot air balloons" (I found it by accident). :)

    Full perms. What I did was to web search some nice patterns and created my own balloon designs, bright and beautiful. I have tried many air balloons, expensive to free, and THIS ONE has the best "flying engine" that feels the most natural for an air balloon and even has working instruments (it's awesome to fly in mouse look). :D It's all meshie and stuff and the reason it doesn't show up in most MP searches is because they call it a "Sky Balloon" rather than "Air Balloon". LOL

    For the record: SLers have been referring to this avatar since the beginning of all SL time as the RUTH avatar because it is based on the original Ruth mesh. If you want this look (as in the picture above) - then create it. Right-click in inventory and make a new shape. Then hair, eyes, and all the rest. What you will end up with is what you see in your picture above.

    Of course this is all based on your OP where you describe this ruth avatar to begin with where you mention the "Top right" - which is the male version of Ruth. Though I'm happy to see you found your answer (which only really required looking more closely at your own inventory, right?) :)

    For the format I’ve outlined above, any fun and semi-challenging type of car could work fine. The main thing being everyone drives the same car type during the race event.

    Yes. There is access to owner or everyone (I forget if group-only is available) - and the best part with the newer ones is that if you set access to everyone that it will change into a temporary when someone sits on it . - when they stand up it goes poof!  :) They are also the best scripted vehicles I've ever used in SL (and I've been here a few days) - they make ACS scripts feel like total amateur hack-jobs. (For example: most region crossings are nearly as fast as if you were avatar-flying across with no attachments or scripts.)

    Edit to clarify:

    You can rez a Manji willy-nilly anywhere you have rez rights. You can click for menu, set to Everyone. Now anyone can jump in and go.

    What I do is rez one, set the access to everyone, turn on the lights, open a door. Take it into inventory then put THAT one into a scanning rezzer that rezzes one if the existing one disappears (is driven away) - they remember their state when you take them back into inventory.

    Question about high-quality snapshots

    This is a viewer thing. There was a viewer release many years ago where there was a nasty bug that cause every snapshot to look like this, but with borders around each segment. Perhaps try another viewer *other than* what you are using now, including Kokua, Catznip, Firestorm, the Official LL viewer, and Black Dragon.

    Black Dragon has been making huge waves recently as the go-to "Photographer" viewer, though the user interface and other features (and lack thereof) create a learning curve. But the imagery being produced that I see are stunning.
