Hey there Rosie Ok I am not quite sure what you are trying to ask... But have some questions that may help us answer for you. Are you using a pre-paid credit/debit card or is it a regular/bank credit debit card? I know that I've seen some threads about people having some problems with the pre-paid cards. When I added my credit card info, I had to do so before I bought any lindens. Then it just takes a little time (less than 2 hours) for the information to verify and then I was able to purchase lindens with no problems. Another option would be to set up a paypal account and purchase your lindens through that. I hope this helps. Good luck!

There are SO many methods of inventory management. The most important thing is to find what works best for you. I personally use folders/subfolders. Some of my friends prefer storage boxes. I even have one friend that has a RL notebook with everything written down. I prefer folders and subfolders to boxes simply because I may not always be in a good place to take out a box if I have a sudden urge to use an item. With the folders method I have easy access to everything in my inventory. The main disadvantage is that this method does not reduce inventory count like storage boxes do. As far as categorizing... As one poster mentioned you really just have to figure out how you process information. For me, clothing is easy. Divided into formal, dress clothes, casual and full outfits (for those outfits I don't wish to separate). Then subdivided into shirts, pants... etc. Objects are where things can really become a mess. I do a lot of sim designing and some building so I tend to categorize mine that way. In the case of hunts you are going to end up with a lot of random objects so you will have to look at what you have to find the best way to divide them (vehicles, weapons, furniture, etc.). If you still aren't sure on methods there's an in world group, Builders Brewery that offers several classes on inventory management. You could look them up and attend some of those.

Hey Jericcho. Which viewer are you using? In phoenix there are some really obscure settings that could result in that. One thing is spam protection... So if they have been using chat-heavy gestures phoenix has a setting that would auto-mute them. Another set of settings is auto respond... Phoenix has a setting to auto-respond to non friends and also to not show any IMs that you have auto-responded to. So those two settings used in conjunction with one another could potentially cause all non-friends to not show up in IMs... But these are in phoenix. Not sure if they are in any other viewers.

The quality of the video card is one of the most crucial details of your computer specs. The video card will make or break a computer for SL. A few months ago I tried to purchase a new laptop. I asked the salesperson about the video card and he wasn't sure which it had but took a guess. He was wrong. Most of the specs on the computer were great for SL but the substandard video card made the computer useless for SL. I took the computer back and ordered online where I knew what I was getting. Most of the time, if the videocard isn't adequate, SL will not even load. If it is barely within specs, the world around you looks like nothing but cardboard cutouts.

The XStreet Magic box is what delivers the item. Are you searching for Betrayed? Don't put quotation marks around it when you search in inventory. Also be sure you are spelling it right. I know I've been unable to find things before because I forgot how to spell them. Marketplace delivery failures do happen from time to time, but if you are getting the message that they are being delivered and you choose keep, there should be no reason why it isn't going in your inventory. One thing to be very careful of is to make sure you are not in busy or away mode when you click purchase.

Are you trying to say that the surrounding sim rezzes faster than an individual prim that you are looking at? The textures on prims are often far more complicated and higher res than those used in terrain textures. Another thing to try is maybe turning your draw distance lower? That will help speed up general rez time. Sorry if I didn't understand your post. I should probably not be trying to answer questions when I've been up for 22 hours.

If you were used to Emerald then Phoenix is the most similar. It has many of the old Emerald devs on it. Be glad you missed the chaos. I also have ascent and imprudence downloaded for those times when you aren't sure if it's viewer related or if it's SL... but I am by far most comfortable in Phoenix.
