  1. Hello cinysin. I will agree with Peggy. You wrote 2 different things. Crashing when you are trying to log in and crashing some mins after your login. When you crash while you are trying to log, could mean a temporal problem at the region. If so, try to log in a different region. Protected lands like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere are recommended. If you can't select a different region, in your log in screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> General Tab --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After click the down arrow where it says "Start at" and choose <Type region name> --> Smith --> Login. Could be also a connectivity issue. If so, try to reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins and after try to log in again. Also avoid to run other applications and to download. Always it helps. If you use wireless, avoid it and prefer direct cable connection. Already mentioned here how you can check your internet speed. If you notice a problem, contact your ISP to check out if there is a problem with your line. When you crash after some minutes while you are in world could mean also a connectivity issue. If so, follow the suggestions about above. Overheat also could cause it. If so, set your perfomance to lower under preferences --> graphics and generally disable everything you don't use like voice for example. Check also your fans if they are clean and work and if you don't know how to check it, ask help from a friend. Could be also relative with issues we have often in world with rolling region restarts for maintenance. If so, always check http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ and watch this space for updates. Lag also is another reason for crashes. Anytime you can check if you experiement lag opening your statistics bar. I could continue reporting more causes for your problem but i think it is futile knowning nothing about your system, the viewer you use and your internet connection. We are shooting in the dark now and the only we can do is to guess. More details would help for a better answer.
  2. Hello Dilsie and welcome to SL Forums. You need to be online in world using the official Viewer 3. If you use Phoenix Viewer there is no Menu Me, you find the preferences under Menu Edit. In Firestorm Viewer preferences is under Menu Avatar.
  3. Hello tutunamayan and welcome to SL Forums. If you mean that someone banned you from a Private Estate, that could be happened for many reasons or without reason. The Estate Owner or Manager have the right to ban everyone, sometimes as i said without a serious reason. If so, you can contact the owner there asking about the reason politely although i think that the best you can do is to forget it and continue to enjoy your SL in another sim. There are so amazing sims arround. If you mean that you got banned from SL and you can't log in, you have recieved a mail explaining why. If you don't see the mail check out also your spam folder. If you believe that this is an error, submit a support ticket via the support portal. To help customer support determine what block has been placed and why, include in the ticket your Second Life account name, and any Second Life accounts that log in from your location.
  4. Hello cinysin and welcome to SL Forums. 3 general suggestions at first: When you order stuff from Marketplace, be online in world if it is possible. Many residents reported here that they don't get their orders when they are offline. Avoid to overload your shopping cart. It is one of the top cause for delivery failures Wait up to 24 hours to get your orders. That's what officially LL reports, although usually we get our purchases after some seconds or minutes About your problem now. You have 2 options: Contact the merchant: Open your Dashboard (log in http://secondlife.com/ )--> Shopping --> Marketplace --> My Marketplace --> My account --> Order History --> If you see that your last purchases delivered means that the merchant got payed --> Take a copy of your last purchases (there you see the name of the merchant)--> Open your inventory --> create a New Notecard --> Paste there --> send the notecard to the merchant(s) describing what was happened and asking politely for redelivery. If you don't get a reply contact support: Submit a ticket --> Marketplace category --> Failed Marketplace Delivery. Explain analytically what was happened, include the order number and the name(s) of the item(s) that failed to be delivered and wait for a reply.
  5. Hello Mathaiyus and welcome to SL Forums. You said that your torso remains stuck in the ruth skin. That makes me to believe that you have corrupted files in your hard disk. So you will fix the problem if you delete them and download new ones. To do that delete all contests at the following folders: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife If you have installed more viewers, make it for all of them even you use them occassionaly like for example: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer or(and) C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Firestorm (same with all viewers) After, relog in a quiet sim like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere. Stay there under the water, open your inventory, write something in search there and wait fetching ALL your items till the last one. During this process (downloading), avoid to do something else like teleporting, chatting, moving etc. Sometimes it takes time depending of lag, connectivity and inventory size. Be patient. When fetching finishes, wait some seconds and try to change outfit choosing one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments. Wait some seconds and rebake your textures with Ctrl+Alt+R. Repeat same process if it is necessary. See if that makes any difference. Good luck.
  6. Hello PrettyDandelion and welcome to SL Forums. As Ariel said you can download Mobile Grid Client and also to trust it when is included in Third-Party Viewers list in SL Wiki. You can find it also at Android Market and install it automatically in your tablet.
  7. Hello Kelona and welcome to SL Forums. I don't know when you see the word "defunct" or the term "defunct membership" but i can guess. If you were long time away and assuming (as you said) that you're in good standing with Linden Lab (not delinquent with billing or otherwise in violation of the Community Standards and TOS) your SL account can remain inactive indefinitely. This means that your avatar and inventory will continue to be stored on LL's servers.
  8. You are welcome Muwse. I am sorry to hear that the problem is with your graphics card. You know that you can't replace it using a laptop. Would you want to post here the model of your graphics card? Maybe someone could help. You can edit your post (Options --> Edit).
  9. Hello sweetthing. If you have ipod or an android device, there are applications for chatting. You can download them and chat with your friends in SL like when you are online but you don't see avatars. You find them at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory For ipod's you can try Pocket Metaverse and for Android's, Mobile Grid Client.
  10. Hello PforPanpetta and welcome to SL Forums. What is the error message do you get? Try to post it here and we will try to help. Without knowing the error message, unfortunately we can do nothing. Edit your post (Options --> Edit) adding more details.
  11. Hello Marjolein and welcome to SL Forums. Please check out the answers at this thread. If you think that answers don't cover you, anytime you can contact Billing Support.
  12. Hello Rand. It could be happened. Sounds like a temporal glitch for which i don't think that you have to worry. Relog to another region without lag and if the problem remains, just make some patience and try a little later or tomorrow. An example: about 3 weeks ago, every time i right click on the ground in my land to terraform i got crashed. Next day everything was ok again.
  13. Hello cdiesel9. The Linden Home registration process offers theme, home type, and home naming options. Once you submit your registration, your selected home is immediately generated on the next available parcel within your selected theme. Linden Lab don't offer specific parcel requests. So if you have already already a Linden Home, stand in your house, --> Menu World --> Place profile --> About Land --> General tab --> Abandon Land. After confirming, the land is removed from your account and you can register for another Linden Home in Meadowbrook.
  14. Hello and welcome to SL Forums. I don't think that seting your graphics to low helps to fix your problem. Maybe the opposite. Set your graphics again to Medium and try to disable VBO. You find it in Viewer 3 under Preferences -> Graphics --> Hardware. See if that makes any difference.
  15. Hello Atuan and welcome to SL Forums. If you use only Phoenix Viewer you can ask also everything in the group called "Phoenix/Firestorm Viewer support" in world. You can find it easily using the search. It is a very good group, really worth to join in.
  16. Hello MarinaBrooke. There is no a specific answer for your question. We know nothing about your system specs. Many users prefer Phoenix and Firestorm. Both support mesh now. Don't exclude also the official Viewer 3 if you haven't tried it yet. So the best you can do is to try gradually all the viewers till to find which is the best for your system.
  17. Hello Wyll. Did you try to log in a different region like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere ?
  18. Hello craftswitch and welcome to SL Forums. Try an avatar test. In Viewer 3 you find it under Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q) --> Avatar --> Character Tests --> Test Male / Female. This will remove from your avatar everything could cause the problem. After try to build it step by step adding skin, shape, eyes, hair, clothes etc and finally if everything is ok save as it in a new outfit. See if that helps.
  19. Hello DrinkTea and welcome to SL Forums. The stuff you purchase, arrives in your inventory as a box with contests and saved in the folder called "Objects" in your main inventory. You can't attach or wear the box immidiately. You must to open (unpack it). So you go at a region where you have the right to rezz. Public Sandboxes are recommended about. You can find several of them here. So choose a Sandbox --> View this destination --> View on map --> Visit this location --> You see a pop-up window --> Allow --> you see the place profile in your monitor in world on the right --> Teleport. When you arrive at the sandbox you drag the box on the ground --> right click on it --> Open --> Copy to inventory. A folder is created in your inventory (easier to find it looking at the 2nd tab of your inventory called "Recent"). Now you are ready to use (wear or add the stuff, clothes etc with right click on them in your inventory --> Wear or Add. You repeat the same process to open (unpack) all the boxes. When you finish it is good to delete them.
  20. Duplicate post. Answers at: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Deutsch/Hi-I-am-looking-for-a-Job/qaq-p/1305657/comment-id/697
  21. Hello Danjiii and welcome to SL Forums. Here is the questions and answers page. If you have a question we are glad to help you. If you are just looking for a job, post it under InWorld Employment Category. There you can add some more details about you (your skills or the languages you speak etc). Watch also this category. Daily residents are looking for new staff.
  22. Have a look also at this jira https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-7540 and follow the suggestion of Maestro Linden. Good luck.
  23. Hello DawnM. You can also use the LiveChat to contact directly with someone from Linden Lab's support team. You find the option on the right. We can't help differently.
  24. Hello AlexaShade. Try to disable VBO and see if that makes any difference. You find it under Preferences --> Graphics --> Hardware. If the problem remains roll back to the previous version of Viewer 3 (3.2.1). You download it here. In this case don't forget to set your software updates no to be installed automatically. (Preferences --> Setup).
  25. Hello Lindia and welcome to SL Forums. I don't see this problem at snapshot 2. I see only your piercings. In any case make an avatar test. In Viewer 3 you find it under Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q) --> Avatar --> Character Tests --> Test Male / Female. This will remove everything could cause the problem. After add your stuff one by one till to understand what exactly causes the problem.
