'The US' and 'Linden Labs' are 2 different things and I dont see anyone blaming the US. YES we get charged VAT but there are ways around it to make sure they don't lose money OR customers. That's all that's being said.

No but other companies who have an International customer base can incorporate the cost of the VAT into the product. Other virtual worlds have done this, I'm sure LL can. As they do not physically receive any payment in the UK, then I doubt they have ever paid any VAT, so it's not as if they'd lose out if they included it in the price. There most probably are some things that are only available here in the UK but that' not what's in question. SL is an international World and yet there are a number of restrictions if you do not live in the US. Payments, cost of land, customer support etc.

Anyone else having a problem buying lindens? I've been find up until a week or so ago and now I keep getting an error. I've not changed my paypal info and there's plenty to cover what I want. Is there a problem with the accounts side?

Yesterday I too lost a no copy object. A namesake Rabbit which was a special present. She was there early in the day then totall vanished. not returned to me, not on area search. Looks like something went on somewhere. I am so annoyed at this. This was made specially for me. If anyone does haev any ideas what to try i'd be grateful too. Otherwise it looks like SL strikes again.

We just bought some mainland. When I alter the land to make it level parts of it seem to be 'unstable' If you stand on it you jsut jump around all over the place. I've tried clicking the button that comes up at the bottom requesting region rebake, but it's still the same. Been tested on 2 diferent viewers so I know it's not that. I will send a ticket but any thoughts on this? (Please note I'm not technically minded so has to be simple English)

Today I've noticed horrendous lag all over. Not just me either, my bf's had it just as bad. We just constantly freeze when we try to do - well - anything. He's in a different part of the country so different ISP's, he uses Firestorm, I use CoolViewer and we've not had it like this until yesterday/ today. Anyone else know what's going on?

I have the same problem. The new viewers just do'nt work on my laptop. Try Coolviewer - it works just fine on 'older' machines. as in 2-3 years

Not really. I know people from the UK, Australia, USA and Canada who have limits. And whether you have an allowance or not, the amount of data it's sending is huge and is causing problems as a result. We're talking 10g of data in just one day.

If you read the forums you'll see a lot of problems with now with bombarding people with excessive bandwidth. this has made people not use SL, so they've been looking elsewhere. As one (or 2 because I have a partner) who have just cancelled membership and tier, there is life after SL. There are a large selection of other worlds available and the only reason stopping them from competing with SL is the people. As more people go to them. Sl with have more competition. We have registered with 2. If I name them I have no doubt I'll have my post removed - but in answer to the question - there is life after sl.

Happy rez day to you. I just hope yours is happier than mine was last week. Thanks to the current bandwidth debacle I spent it offline. And I do know someone else who shares your rez day but she doesn't come to the forum

So does this mean 8124 will be fixed this week or not? My land is on SL servers and I don't see anything mentioned? (I don't speak technial, sorry)
