  2. Griffin Ceawlin wrote: Mayalily wrote: I don't see how people can say there was no expectation of privacy... well, what are changing rooms there for then? Just to confuse us? And yes, LL should ethically disclose there is no privacy in changing rooms, in rented land, etc because of the camming abilities. There has to be some way to remedy this. Yes, LL could mandate that signs be placed on all changing and bath room doors. Get real. ROFL :matte-motes-sarcasm:
  3. Mayalily wrote: It doesn't work. You either have to own your own land, or I have to see if my land lady is willing to set that for me. But since so many of you think my avatar in my own home rented belongs to everyone, why would she turn it on for me? Maya, you are being deliberately obtuse about this...you asked a question and we all answered with basically the same info. It's the way SL is. Those of us here for years have learned to deal with it, you need to do the same or go private island. Perhaps these types of environments aren't the place for you if you feel so strongly about it

I'm sure I'm missing some of my favorite places. I'll add more. Yes... hair is my addiction in SL. CaTwA, Damselfly, Fab-U-Lous, Analog Dog, Detour - These hairs have alpha glitching problem, but can work great for pictures. Lol....wow, I know who to message if I have a question about hair :matte-motes-silly:
  5. Freya Mokusei wrote: "invasion of privacy" is a relative (and hyperbolic) term. That's why people in this thread are using the term, "expectation of privacy". And indeed in this case, your expectation differs from the reality of SL. To simplify; it's not an invasion if the privacy was never there. Nicely stated, Freya.
  6. He had to have disclosed it or has the option checked
  7. Mayalily wrote: Anyhow which is it, yes or no to privacy and freedom from invasion of my privacy....?
  8. Mayalily wrote: Camera controls doesn't say anything about people camming in on you and invading your privacy. Maya, there is no privacy to invade, it is a virtual world...made up with things that are not real.
  9. Mayalily wrote: I don't cam on anybody. I think it's rude, and I would never do that period, ever, and never ever have! I have not used the cam feature not even once! They need to take this out period! This is unethical. Lol, sadly, you have a lot to learn about Linden Lab :matte-motes-not-even:
  10. Ian Undercroft wrote: The new privacy features are able prevent those not on the parcel from seeing avatars on the parcel. So, if changing clothes or engaged in jiggy jiggy on poseballs, you will be invisible to onlookers. Is there something in your home that you'd rather others didn't see? Haha, I like that...jiggy jiggy Never heard it called that before.
  11. Jacki Silverfall wrote: Privacy settings work on camming? Never heard that before. I think you still show up as a blip on the mini-map, but you are invisible to anyone outside the parcel, so there is nothing to see.

Cute meeroo :smileyhappy: After a few hours of hard work (and just about as many hours of pleasure), I managed to marry Autumn and Winter on my homestead... Halloween can come, we are ready!!! Haha...very nice!! Snow & pumpkins look good together :matte-motes-silly:
  14. Melita Magic wrote: Autumn is my favorite season for SL gardens. Unfortunately it is all too brief. (And then comes winter - very hard to make green mainland look wintry!) I know I have better autumn scenes but usually I take the pic w/out me in it. Offhand this is the latest pic. Meeroo garden, autumn decor. Yep, know what you mean. I remember one year on mainland...I can't tell you how many little pieces of groundcover/1 prim things of snow I laid down to get the effect I wanted, lol....holy cow!!! Cute meeroo

  18. Hi Uncommon, I have found that going into appearance and adjusting the "mouth corner" of the shape works great...just an ever-so-gentle uplifting of the corner of the mouth can make all the difference in the world...makes your avatar appear pleasant, happy, IMO. Those other things are too harsh, unnatural looking for me ETA: Oooops....meant shape, not skin Here's one where I adjusted:
  19. Truth...yea, I have A LOT of their hair, lol :matte-motes-silly:
  20. Pookiepie Bluecoat wrote: ty I may have to check out exile I haven't been to Analog Dog in years I may have to see what they are doing these days. I do have the LAQ hairbases or at least red and blonde. I really do wish more hair creators were making them as I like many styles that are close to the hairline and hate the harsh transition from head to prim.. The LAQ ones do work well with SOME of the hair colors but would love to see creators make some to specifically match the hair colors they create. I personally love LAQ skins and their HB's...the only complaint I have is that she has about 6 cute hair styles to be worn with hairbases, but the hair style is only offered in black I want them in brown, lol. I broke down and bought the HB kit in black to be able to wear them, but don't like myself as well not being a lighter brunette
  21. @OP...LeLutka, love their styles. @Melita...yes, I agree. The Japanese designers are good, they tend to be very unique. My favorite is one that I came across when I first came to SL, been stopping by every so often for the last four years....Hal*Hina, I love the shade of brown she uses in her hair and anxiously await new releases, which sadly, seem to be limited

I've got the big parts done with lots of detail work remaining. Hi Parhelion...looking good Can't wait to check it out. I don't mind my pic in SL, but RL...yes, I don't like it, plus, I'm usually the one behind the camera anyway, so not too many exist :matte-motes-silly: ETA: Updated shots of my place...waiting until October 1st to add in Halloween
