  1. Agreed, I apologize for not mentioning additional purchase options. I consider myself a Mainlander, it's great place to live.
  2. You can type the word Worn in your Inventory to see what you are wearing.
  3. You should give SL some time. The Weekends are a little crazy. I totally support the idea that the quality of people you can meet in SL will vary greatly.
  4. At your Account page. Click on the Second Life logo in the upper left corner to access the Second Life mainpage. Login to your account to find the proper selection. Second Life is a big place. The hours and locations you visit can effect your experience. It's your SL.
  5. The error message sounds like your hardware has been banned. Outside of that possibility, I have been reading some comments at different sites that say there is a problem with the graphics drivers while using vista. They recommend using xp until a solution is found. Maybe it can help you. The restart makes me think an application initiates shortly after start up and disrupting the current process. guessing now, good luck :smileyhappy:
  6. You can rent land. It's easy to do. Inworld, open Search / Land Sales / Estate Some rental land your purchase price is the first month or week rental fee. Other rental lands you purchase for 1L$ and then visit the rental office to pay the rental fee. Don't worry if you find land you like and buy it, the owner or manager will find you and offer any help you might need. You can use Inworld Search and type Rental land.
  7. Top of this Page World Map The Mainland should be titled Mainlands I don't know why it is singular. There are several large Continents which make up the Mainlands.
  8. A consumer's viewpoint: If it's a purchase of convenience and the product was easy to find and receive delivery, I don't mind paying extra. Yes, that same box of mega prims is free at about 5,000 inworld locations but my friend was afk for less than a minute and we were able to continue working. I have purchased some Art work. The price is usually whatever the Artist wants. Only after a person tries to arrange furniture or texture walls might they realize that it is a skill. I think reasonable profit is the ability to work at what you love in exchange for the type and quantity of wealth you desire, to allow for the progression of a common goal, be it linear or nonlinear. Statements in a Merchants profile can discourage potential sales.
  9. Visit https://marketplace.secondlife.com/ Browse the Avatar sections to get an idea of what is available and the names of the styles or outfits. You can also use Search Inworld and search shopping / free (As mentioned) To add, edit images for your seperate profile here at the SL Forum click on your name SWENDELL or at the top of this page where is say's Welcome, SWENDELL
  10. Don't reply to it. Notify a Moderator. Report inappropriate content using the link in the lower left corner of the page.
  11. The performance of most of the HUD's I've used has usually been based on the performance of the Region I was using it in. Find a low traffic area with scripts enabled. You can use Search/places, search term: Sandboxes Look for one with low traffic.
  12. I'll ask a old question I should know but forgot. Can you enable scripts by flying up above the no scripts area? It's the abuse at the Public areas where I remember that ability was removed.
  13. Sorry I didn't think to copy it, I only recall some parts of the survey. It was very vague, and short. A few questions about better or worse and why and a few, more likely less likely Q's. What is odd is that the message with the survey made it sound like the survey would be long; it was short. Rather uneventful.
  14. I would say the movie Christine (1983). 1958 Plymouth Fury, red. It would be a excellent project car in SL.
  15. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Inventory_loss#Inventory_Filters You can look there for some tips. Check all your folders if the house had furniture in it.
  16. Sounds like your building was not linked. The copy your fiance took might not have had the allow next owner to modify, copy or transfer. edit
  17. I have to go, I hope you find the solution soon. Some aspects of the comments feature makes your question appear to have more solutions offered than what is really here. I would consider posting an updated question with as much data as possible.
  18. I think we need to recover the basic reasons. When did you login last? Has anything changed with your PC? updated drivers?
  19. Hate to keep pushing this Time thing but it's easy to have the proper time and date but set the wrong time zone. The time zone must match the isp, I think. Could even go as far as when is was last synchronized, mine was on 3-8-2011
  20. A ticket will take a long time. Be patient, other Residents will see this question is not answered and offer additional options.
  21. You could try to change your login location
  22. I like to look at the Grid Status when having problems. It looks like things are all clear but on ocassion some symptoms reoccur shortly after declared conclusion. http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ By chance do you recall if you selected the proper time zone when you first signed up?
  23. Possible or Allowed should be the question. I would look on Market Place to see if I could find an affordable or free fabric texture maker. If you have a rl camera and access to rl fabrics, textures, use those to upload to ps then upload to SL. You will have exclusive rights to your original work.
