  1. I streched it a bit (LI=4) - then a LOT and glued the invisible Animation- Pad (from the kidney pool) to it. Now it has Land Impact 8 and I can do Yoga and even swim in it. - I had to adjust the animations a bit but even diving is OK. 2. GREAT! Snatched one! - maybe i can resize it and add some animations?
  3. I really hope EITHER they'll open really soon BEFORE easter OR theyl'll wait till the 16th birthday in June ... why? I will be off on a river cruise for a fortnight starting just after easter ! - no internet - at least no SL - only carrying my netbook. So I fear the goldrush will be over and all good plots gone till I return!! *sniff*
  4. Im am not in the horizons area but hopping about testing standard Linden homes while waiting for the new ones. I never saw any content pack. Where do I get that?
  5. What sort of content pack will come with the homes? In the old homes you get no "bontent pack" you just can change the textures of walls, roof, and so on, by going to a website and clicking. In the new homes seems there will be a sort of texture HUD inworld ... but what would be MOST desirable would be TEXTURES you can USE also on your own creations - such as extra walls or doors in the room, or hills in the garden. So couldn't they just put the textures they use in their Linden- Homes in the LIBRARY?? - at least the gras texture and the wall textures?? If anyone ever talks to a Linden - PLEASE suggest that!
  6. Well I am not really SET on THAT pool - nor on any pool at all. But IF I want to have a pool I will construct something with grass sourrounding it, maybe bushes aswell, nothing like a sqare plattform with bricks or wood as walls around it and a ladder or stairs going to it. IF some such I would prefer the Patio Type @Blush Bravin posted on Page 16. ... with flowerd on both sides...
  7. If you get rid of the surrounding hill you look against the bare sides of the pool. I am not into MESH- making so I couldn't make any other hill that fits better. The problem stays: if you make it smaller it will get steeper and uglier. You need a minimum HEIGHT to make the pool work. I allready reduced the hight by a false floor.
  8. This is the smallest I can get the pool. Tested it and might sqeeze it in GardenPool by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr But I think I will prefer the shower. That gives you room for lots of other things in the garden. GardenShower by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr
  9. THey also have a lovely outdoor shower. That might fit the small garden better.
  10. @Marianne Little ...The sale in PM is lasting 4 days more, until April 10th. I already bought too much, but not one of the pools. I debated with myself and will perhaps pick up one or two of them, but I will not use large pools for now.... I think I payed 300L$ or so for the kidney shaped pool. It has LOTS of lovely animations and as you can disassemble it an take them away as little trasparent pads (4 or 5 different kinds) and glue them to any other pool the money is well spent only for those animations
  11. Did you build the whole pool yourself or did you use the one @Marianne Little recommended ... You need this: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/1-LI-Decorative-Pool-w-Animated-Material-Water-any-texture-mod-copy/2536801 I kept experimenting with the curved pool in the hill and found you could reduce the hight without disturbing the animations - even the diving animations still work. You can see the grass shining through, but to get rid of that it is enough to just insert a round thin board at the bottom with an aquablue colour.
  12. Must test it. The houses are 1 or 2 steps HIGH from the street so might be it will not bury the house! LindenHomesEntrance by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr
  13. ... I managed to make the hill not tooo steep by taking three of them in different sizes ... Pool_Hill by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr on the other hand . now it will fill most of my parcel! - shown on a board 32x32m Pool_Parcel by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr
  14. I got that Kidney Pool very cheap at Pixel Mode - they have a sale going I do not know if they are still open though. It has lots of lovely animations sit, Yoga AND swim an dive - lots! and it is mod! You can take them out and put them into a smaller pool. I finally fixed my new pool wizj the hill ... put in some of the animations . Happily floating. Just forgot to put on my bathing suit. Pool_Float by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr
  15. Solved the problem - with your help!! Great thanks!! 😀
  16. I unpacked BOTH - The one with the lawn was the same - I am just dissassembling it and will try to put the lawn aditionally under the walled one.- I can only TP you if you are premium - I am in a Premium Sandbox
  17. On your photo it looks just fine. But when I rezzed it in a sandbox it didn't. When you rezz it on the ground the INNER part of the pool is nice but between the edge of the OUTER part and the ground there is a big GAP. When I lower it very carefully JUST so that there is no gap any longer then the inner part is partly covered by lawn. Pool_High by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr Pool_Low by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr
  18. Yes it is. I can also disasseble it. Maybe I'll make a mix with the one on the MP you suggested.
  19. The pool you saw me wearing has lots of nice animations ... BUT ... how do I get it into the ground when I am not allowed any terraforming? I tested it in a sandbox and there was no way. Do you know of a method to lower a pool into the earth - like it would be in RL? SwimmingPool by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr
  20. Well I remeber many years ago - in fact it was when I started in 2007 - my first SL - love and I used to secretly use peoples beds *blushes* I actually don't mind very much what people might do in my house as long as I am not there. And I am sure you are not breaking any TOS if you dont prevent strangers to use your adult furniture because ... even if they "go for" public exposure ... no one outside your parcel will see them inside your parcel! ... though they might not realize that! The reason that I want an orb (and thanks for recommending the rectangualr one - I'll get that!) is that I do not like a stranger suddenly standing next to me in my bedroom while I am naked testing clothes. ... which happened lately in a private home I rent. It has an orb but it asked me what to do and I was quite starteled and shocked and it lasted a few seconds before I reacted.
  21. WEll it's not just the TOS. I am not all that obedient. But if I run around naked - even having this perfectly beautiful SL body - I greatly prefer NOT to be watched by strangers! I am not the type for nudism beaches! So that is one of the advantages of SL over RL ... take a nude shower in your garden and be ... invisible!!
  22. I wonder if LL is going to add any infrastructure to the new continent. At the moment I have a Linden Home at a region of the Meadowbrook Type. Houses are crowded in a way they would never be in RL, only a very few pathways next to the sea but even those are ugly. Though I see many dots on the map I never see any avatars. Obviously everyone hast turned Avtars on his parcel to invisible - like I did - to get some privacy. In a normal RL community you also cannot see your neighbours IN their houses, but there are streets and parks and you meet them at the supermarket or at a restaurant or bar. Something like that totally lacks in the present Linden- Home regions (or didn't I find it?). The new homes at the exibition at least had gardens and streets. Will there be any places were Avatars can meet in a natural way aswell? Will there be benches and plants and a natural landscape? This for example is allready the most "beautyful" scenery in all my region I could find! And I am lucky! I live in a reason that is next to water.
  23. I see no problem in having adult furniture, even in the garden. Most of my furniture is adult though nowadays I don't use it that way. It is several years now since I last indulged in any adult activities in SL, but I can do so if I want - just like in real life. But in RL your neighbours cannot scan through your walls and curtains and see you naked in your bath or making love with your husband. So for me it is a matter of course to set the avatars on my parcel to invisible, for what I usually do in my SL home is standing around naked, unpacking parcels and trying on clothes. And if you do set avatars to invisible that refers to the whole parcel, garden aswell as house so (contrary to RL) nobody will see me taking a shower in my garden unless he walks in. But how do I keep people from walking into my garden? Maybe I ivnest in an orbit - which would you advise? - or I keep access restricted to people I whitelist. But that will set uo those banlines, won't it? On the other hand I can make them invisible - anyone can - but that lies in the eyes (viewer) of the beholder. What's wrong with banlines then? And what's the alternative? I found an orbit script on the MP only 299L$ - is that a good one? https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Security-Orb-Set-Full-Perm-Set/4461266
  24. Inspired by Blush and Prokofy I made myself a rule, wore it and set about to measure my favourite house. The rule is a sort of board 1 m wide and 10 m long, set to PHANTOM and textured with some meter Texture I had. I forst attached it to my foot, later to my spine and anyway its rather tricky to get it into exaktly the right position. Kueche1 by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr SchlafzL by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr The first room on the groundfloor (my kitchen) ist 5,5m x 6m, the other room with the gardendoor (my livingroom) is about 9 x 6 Upstairs there is one big room 7 x 9,5 m and the balcony 9,5 x 3,5 (all roughly). Now I am off to a sandbox and will make some sort of platforms in the size of the rooms to see how my nice new furniture will fit in.
  25. Just now there is a big SALE going on at the Pixel Dreams Inworld Store - lots of lovely furniture for next to no money! I bought LOTS and tested several items at the preview exibition in the way I learned here - by wearing them. The kitchen big piece is a bit to long for the front room but as you can put it to pieces I will make it fit in nicely. Kuechenzeile by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr And in the garden of my favourite house even a pool could be placed! SwimmingPool by Leora Jacobus, auf Flickr PS: it really WORKS! Went to a sandbox, dissassebled the long kitchen piece - reassembled the components - now I have a fridge, a sink, an oven, a cupboard and so on! The small room in the basement towards the street is ideal for the kitchen! The big room towards the garden will be my livingroom.
