I went to Greenies, most of AM Radio’s installations and I’ve been to Berlin. I have only been to Blueberry twice and Maitreya a couple of times and for redelivery only. I have worked through the Ivory Tower tutorials, been to ChouChou many times and I’ve bought their music as well. To my chagrin, I never got to see them perform in SL. I’ve been to Svarga and the Galaxy before they were added to the Preservation Society. 

one of my favorite things was Black Swan, art installations and parties along with commerce.

Thanks, I guess it’s good to get a misinformation squashed. I’d just rather be coming from a more informed place instead of starting from a place of ‘I heard that....x’, and it’s something that needs correcting.  
 

side note that might need its own thread: I just wish there was a better understanding of low latency.  I have some puzzlingly low frame rates sometimes but I’m moving fine and avatars and the world are rezzing fine, but then some days the textures I see are blurred and keep re-rezzing.

I did not read the whole thread. I’m just here to say there should be some demonstrations. Feats of strength, some recitations, perhaps some other types of ‘manly’ displays that can also serve as the entertainment portion.

I’m assuming keeping the people and your normal settings, and having some back end fix from the LL? Am I understanding correctly? It’s a good wish, this thread is for ideas.

Exactly. Wishing, daydreaming about something and then looking at things fresh from a ‘ok, then...what would I wish most’ perspective is a good thing to me. I’ll probably answer this thread a few times myself to distill it down. Maybe some JIRAs for feature requests will happen too.

I can’t find the source so I’m tagging for confirmation but I was told that @Oz Lindensaid that more than 1000 items in any one folder or sub-folder can cause lag. I’d really also like to know if overall inventory size can cause lagginess and if so, what kind.

I’m managing my inventory this year. A lot of it I’m just boxing up first to reduce the total number of items so I can sort by manageable chunks into sections. I don’t have a goal number yet to get down to but if there’s a ballpark number to be under for better efficiency, that would be really good to know. Until last year, I did not divide my focus over more than one avatar so Fauve’s account hovers around 100k, with nearly 12 years of stuff, plus much of the Company Wardrobe of Ballet Pixelle stuffed in there. 😹

What, in your opinion, do you think is the single most important thing that LL could actually do in 2020 to ‘improve’ SL? 
And yes, I realize this is a very subjective question and answers about what constitutes ‘improvement’ can vary widely depending on preferences, focus, personal reasons & goals etc.

There are lots of free things of all kinds in SL including some mesh heads and bodies. You just need to do some research. This is a big reason why so many people think newbies immediately asking for expensive things feels more like just begging.

How about this one: human avatars are boring and all look the same. Much better wearing monsters, creatures and whatevers of sorts. 

Let’s just say that a few people weren’t amused at that party. Which of course had the opposite effect on me! 🤣😂😅

I love my pretty human avatars but I equally like my weird dolls, skeletons of several kinds and in the last year, often really enjoy wearing an alpha and just ‘being’ a variety of animals instead of just attaching them as pets.
