  1. I don't know what viewer you are using, but if Firestorm, then according to this the passwords are stored in an encrypted file. You can't simply read an encrypted file, so your only option is probably contacting support. Theoretically it might be also possible to reveal the password if you made your own build of the viewer but I've never tried.
  2. I've found out that it is sufficient just to close the Edit window and open it again in step 7.
  3. I have noticed some weird behavior. While it is NOT possible to add things to a "no modify" object or delete contents from such object, it IS possible to take contents out of it, but ONLY until you try to delete some of its contents. For example: 1. Create a box, make two "no copy" scripts in it, then make the box "no modify" (or make sure it is "no modify"), take it and give it to someone else. 2. Ask him/her to rezz the box. 3. Ask him/her to add some content to the box - not possible - OK. 4. Ask him/her to drag only one script out of the box to their inventory - possible (huh?) - script gets moved from box to inventory and deleted from box despite the box being "no modify". 5. Ask him/her to delete the second script (right click script and delete) - not possible - says "Not permitted to edit this." - OK. 6. Ask him/her to drag the second script to their inventory - now NOT possible 🤪 7. Ask him/her to take the object and rezz it again. 8. Ask him/her to drag the second script to their inventory - possible again 🤪 Is this expected behavior? Or am I missing some important point? (Tried google, looked even here). Reproduced with Firestorm (v6.4.21.64531) and official viewer (v6.5.2.43139), giving same results.
  4. Very refreshing to see a female avatar with realistic body proportions and less exposed skin. Thumbs up 👍
  5. Somebody could then use your source files to sell your product cheaper than you, or for free.
  6. I also don't like some no-modify items, but I can't agree with this. It would make the market non-profitable for scripters as it would be easy to copy the scripts. Think of it as giving out source files (e.g. blender, maya) of all 3D models in SL. That would also destroy the market.
  7. You can run another viewer, point it where you want it looking and stream it as video to website that you then display on the prim. But don't ask me if it's worth trying The video will also be delayed, so won't work for mirrors, unless you want a trippy mirror.
  8. I also sometimes mess around with Blender, but it looks more like this:
  9. I don't know if I will help and I don't remember what J2C or KDU is, but 2 things come on my mind: 1) Texture cache - Check where your newly compiled Firestorm stores the texture cache. If it's a new folder and is empty, it has to download all textures again. Maybe your official release is faster because it has already textures cached? 2) The performance of your build might be lower if you for example build it with debug information, but since you say you have built it as Release, then that should not be the case. Whoa, very nice
  10. I would say that it's impolite to ask anyone his or her age and I don't like if someone asks it right away (or follows the age/sex/location). Once I was even asked by a random lady that went the ASL way to prove my age I don't know what she was expecting, that I will send her my personal ID or driving license??
  11. Hmmm, I replied to this topic and my post turned pink and it says "hidden"...🤔 Edit: It just showed up. Thanks.
  12. LOL Yes, I agree that there is some status info missing in SL. In your friend list you can only know whether your friend is online or offline. You can try to message them to maybe get an "Away auto-reply message" but that's basically all I think. I would for example appreciate a Do-Not-Disturb status for example.
  13. I guess some people think that if you are online, then you are available for chat. Some time ago I had this in my profile (or something similar): "If I don't reply, then I am probably busy." Maybe it can help little bit.
  14. If you are able to run it from Visual Studio and not outside of it, then it might be a path related problem or maybe an environment variables related problem. I was building Firestorm several months ago and did not have to copy any configuration files. Only difference is that I have used MSVC Build Tools instead of Visual Studio. Or you can simply do it as panterapolnocy said Good luck!

  16. Sometimes people visit dance clubs and ballrooms just to listen to the music. Unfortunatelly sometimes they really stand close to the dance floor and it looks like they are looking for a dance partner. Or maybe they just like to be looked at idk, but anyway don't take it personally... It's not your fault. And sorry for offtopic.
