  1. I don't need to copy and paste anything. And, I tried control + x and it made the landmark look light in color, like faded out but it was still there. I found the word for these folders, it's SYSTEM FOLDERS. So, what would control + x do when you want to delete or empty the whole SYSTEM folder? It seemed like I'd still have to delete them one-by-one.
  2. I did it this way. It works. Thanks again! YAY, too!
  3. You know I couldn't find that info regarding deleting whole folders anywhere. Thank you.
  4. One of my accounts I have a ton of landmarks. So, I spent some time recently deleting some one-by-one, then wondered if there was an easier way. My question is regarding folders with a specific name, such as our Landmark Folder and when we click on a landmark a landmark goes in there. Is there a way to empty the whole folder? Or, can we delete the whole Folder and create another Landmark Folder and landmarks will go into that new folder specifically? If we have to do it one-by-one, is there anyway to make it easier by allowing a whole folder to be deleted for example and re-creating a new folder?
  5. That's an interesting take, I didn't think of that. It is kind of short but sweet and shows some scenics, some animations (especially with the horses), and some things to do. But, I think if each of us made a machinema about our SL, they would all be different. So, this one is basically fine. Once NUX comes along, I think it will a whole new ballgame starting and new videos.
  6. I agree with THIS ^^^ 100%. But, some of the fantasy sims are truly beautiful, too. And, I don't even think some of the fantasy builds would even need an avatar in it. (Sorry bad dress and pose and particles falling over face, but just show an amazing fantasy world is all I am trying to illustrate by putting up an old windlight pic.)
  7. I was glad it showed furries but wished it had showed some Dinkies, too! However, the newer lighting is making some avi's look more and more like plastic to me or like toys. The lighting used to have a more "diffused" nature to it. In certain lighting, since EEP, my Dinkie does that too...looks like plastic and it's awful. I'm still fiddling around with lighting since EEP. I got the Firestorm Windlights and use one of the Ana Lu's now which is a bit better but does still go kind of bright but it's better than looking "plastic". As far as the video overall, it's okay, although I don't care to own any riding things like horses nor anything else. It's not my thing. The balloon scene looks a little washed out and some other parts looks too low resolution or something. But, I'd give it 3-stars. We all could probably make a machinema that is specific to our SL's. This one looks like it's specific to someone else's SL, just like the walking in Winter one before it. The walking in Winter one before this one was geered towards SL romance which some of us are not here for at all.
  8. Dinkies and Tinies have a shooter game without lag. It was the Ebil Snowman against us. I arrived late and didn't even get a chance to read the notecard on how to work the gun, so the Ebil Snowman surrounded me (which I let them, of course, as I know it's just a game) and try to push me off the cliff, etc... Those Ebil Snowman can push you and then they just keep coming and coming. I couldn't work the gun. But, it was fun to watch it all occurring and how others were winning and killing the Ebil Snowman. But, the Ebil Snowman premise could be taken and used for many games. That was just it's seasonal theme. Of course 100 Dinkie avatars equals about one Legacy body, so that is one of the reasons Dinkies and Tinies have games, we aren't lag-intense avatars plus the region we played the game was practically empty. Dinkies/Tinkies have a lot of games, which may have slowed since the war though. Join Raglan Shire and Small Talk and go and see some of the events and games they have. However, I kind of doubt a lot of Dinkie and Tiny games could translate well into the human mesh body when one realizes 100 Dinkie avatars are the equivalent of one Legacy mesh body. I often think in SL, we want it all. Well, sometimes somethings have to give to make certain other things work. Most might not be willing to compromise and adjust their avatar; however, in order for certain things to work or work well.
  9. I think, sometimes, this is true. People are just playing with their bots. However, even so, we can see how much people want to earn lindens in SL. If SL could figure out a game where people could earn lindens, it would be an overnight smash hit. But, someone has to foot that bill where the people make linden, plus there are the bots. Rowan is speaking of contests in a post above. Contests crossed my mind. I had fun at many contests. They aren't that big of a thing as they used to be. Not in the circle I run in anyhow. The circle I run in, there are occasional contests. The Dinkies and Tinies had two women who hosted a 5000 L contest once a month. It drew a large crowd and they got good tips, even the venue got got good tips as the tips were shown in a thermometer. They had to close for personal illness reasons. But, that kind of possible draw of 5000 L does draw a big crowd, that's for sure.
  10. I know, there is nothing 100% even regarding PIOF. I don't even know how much better it would help to have certain games for those with subscriptions only. But, if someone wanted to pay for all those subscriptions and play games we could come up with, let them or change TOS to one player per game.
  11. Yeah, as I was reading your post, I was thinking the above, exactly. Thanks for sharing that!
  12. No. It's interesting to note that your news story did not comment on where the voice sampling is occurring. So many news stories are like that. They give you half a story.
  13. I did NOT say controlled, I said gamed. By AI systems, I meant gamed also. As some of us have talked in other threads about overall games for SL, but the fear is the farming bot systems will just take over which makes an unfair advantage. My post was also about an answer to creators can do better. That's what I was responding too. The "do better" threads about games, usually leads to farming. Bot farming is a problem regarding games we could create to bring in new users, and interest existing users. By AI system, I meant farm. Bot farm specifically. The only way to have new and exciting games is for them to be PIOF or for Subscription Members. Look at Bitcoin for example and the Bitcoin farms run by the rich. The little person stands little to no chance at getting any Bitcoin.
  14. Time to go PIOF for everything then. Which, some are saying or suggesting in many "scam-related" threads, PIOF only makes it worse. I'm going to call my real bank today and talk to them about this and see what they have to say.
  15. Are you suggesting that perhaps voice cloning is originating from online games in general? Aside from those who say they are on voice to seek other people's genders, I often thought those on voice might be trying to avoid keyloggers by using voice. But, I'm wondering where are people getting the voice to clone if one takes online games out of the equation? Did your news story say where the voice is cloned and how?
  16. Creator's can do better...such as what though? Almost everyone is saying there is a problem with lag foremost. Secondly, often the kind of easy and laid back sort of games some of us would like there is a problem with bots gaming the games. I don't really want to play "violent" games. I like the laid back stuff. The best way for SL to become a "game" is to release a different version of it that runs on consoles. SL's main game, somewhat like in life, is to try to make money. We need that for user retention especially in this inflationary environment, but not to be farmed out by bots. That's the second biggest problem. People don't want to waste their time being gamed by AI systems. We want legitimate and fair games.
  17. Yeah, is a good line. It's possible and it happens, they have "tricks" and those tricks are constantly changing. As a matter of fact, somebody just did try a trick. And, it did happen once before. Silent Mistwalker said she remembered. I remembered it vaguely but yet I knew it was familiar. Back in those days, I thought websites used to be attacked, not individuals, and I thought SL was under attack, so I logged out. It sucks. It's like us against them.
  18. Yeah, but they will find a way around MFA too. I just read one of the links CathLynn put up. Scammers have ways to steal cookies, plus other ways to get around MFA. As far as straight up 2FA, the article said your company (the one you have the 2FA account with) will never ask for the code they sent in your phone, so don't give that out to anyone just the same as our passwords. https://www.zdnet.com/article/hackers-are-finding-ways-around-multi-factor-authentication-heres-what-to-watch-for/ "This is a really important challenge for society right now as we increasingly digitize we've got an incredible opportunity to continue to put technology to really good use. But we've also got to address these challenges when it comes to resilience and the human aspect," says Alashe.
  19. 7 Seas is the only one I know of. But, you have to buy the pole and there are options with poles and then you can trade the fish or other misc. items just like one can trade in Gacha. That's what I meant by similar (the trading). I wasn't talking about the free fishing. Gacha may even be a little like breedables too, as one can sell their "surprise" breedable and may get a rare. At least, that's how breedables used to work. I have no idea how breedables work now. But, I see similarities in all of these. A chance to trade, and with some, a chance to sell what was or is essentially a surprise.
  20. No, that's not true. Mine is more the original 2fa. MFA is different. Look them both up on the internet. 2fa and MFA are two different things. I read an article on them. Now you are telling me the article that said MFA is more safe than 2fa plus a lot of other things separating the two was entirely wrong? MFA is stronger than 2FA. They are different. But, my idea was more the original 2fa because it's faster. If you don't want to be on a phone at all...well, it's not my problem and you are screaming like a Karen having a meltdown at someone who isn't making you have mandatory anything and it's just nonsense. Please stop.
  21. I personally don't like multi-factor token idea either so I never spoke of it. I was speaking more of a prompt when you hit checkout (but I really wanted to say where user sets limit before code is sent) and then ding your phone gets the message, it's in plain sight to see (for those of us with good enough eyesight) then enter the six numbers and hit checkout again and done. It takes under two minutes probably as it's very fast, imo. Any post on a network messaging board is just people sharing informal ideas about things. The world is changing and AI is getting stronger. I'd like my lindens to be not seen nor accessible in the viewer. That doesn't mean LL will act on my post. There is room for alternatives that don't have to be forced. Paypal offers a wallet. It is not forced. It's for those who wish to store things such as cash for instance.
  22. First of all, I never said this was a formal idea. I'm not a Linden nor a mole. I work for free here. If we ever do have a wallet, and I suspect we probably will with Tilia as an option, I suggested 500 linden before needing to enter a one-time phone code in order to spend because I work for free here and didn't want to type the whole thing out such as user could set limit and blah, blah, blah. However, again, it was NOT a formal idea. It was a free idea where I added a question mark, meaning perhaps others have a better idea. Plus, I was also thinking one could set up their limit such as 500, 1000, 1500, etc before they are sent a one-time code to enter. And, why would they scream if it's opt in? Plus, I have one wallet that lets you stay logged in as per your choice up to 30 days. So, there is lots of variety. I think you need to get over it, especially this 2 dollar dress thing, as I never presented it as a formal idea at all. This is a place for free feedback and networking. I think you way over-react to things people say in a place that is an exchange of informal ideas. If I had a formal idea, I'd present it to LL, not here.
  23. Yes, I know. I've thought of it and will probably set it up.
  24. Dinkies and Tinies can. I've been in shooter games with dozens of Dinkies and Tinies as they are not lag-intense avatars nor is the scene either. Many scenes for the games were made with the original SL build tools, circa 2005 or thereabouts (no actual real date) but really old. Plus the area is kept sparse for games.
  25. Wow, that's a lot. I see the breedables as an amusement no different than Gacha really or even fishing because in all of those 'you get something'. I don't think any of them are gambling. Maybe with Gacha, just get rid of the rare idea. Make them all commons like a real life arcade machine filled with prizes.
