  1. Good to hear you had a good Burns Night in the real world...without any need for restarts.....
  2. Hope when you get to your real life event, the doors to the venue are not locked, with sack of uncooked 'tatties' leaning against it with a note attached, saying...sorry 'Burns Night Supper is delayed due to a rolling restart.....we will keep you updated.......in the meantime feel free to help us by peeling the spuds'
  3. I don't feel he/she needs any further help on that front. 🤪
  4. And again, you are trying to impose what you like/don't like on others - and speaking for them. let others choose what and how they want to be and look - and assume nothing - and judge less. Isn't that what SL is about. ? What is 'realistic' to you - may be very different to what someone else's reality is. Let them do them, and you do you 🙂 I can assure you I have absolutely no connection with this body producer - and i don't care if people get it or not. in fact In my mini review a few posts up, I feel I gave a very balanced personal opinion - the pros and cons in my opinion. And that's exactly what is it - my own opinion. I am allowed one aren't I? Which brings me on to the next ridiculous thing you have said today. About the fact I have 'some very big thoughts' despite only 'being in SL for a year'. Can you clarify? I was unaware there was a time limit before I was allowed to have and share an opinion? Please let me know when the official time of being in SL is then, before I am allowed to speak my thoughts??? And to finish off, I just have to say you gotta LOVE your positivity about SL and its creators. (Not!). And regards your final statement about 'Men don't matter in SL' - LOL. Well ...I am not quite sure what to say back to that...other than perhaps, take a chill pill, put some music on, and in the words of the late great James Brown, remember....""This is a man's world, this is a man's world - But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl "" 🙂
  5. Mmmm. I can see that the OP asked for opinions. But some opinions are perhaps sometimes best to keep all to yourself. #JustSaying 🤐
  6. I think you've put them in my personal order of preference. Really like the one on left - it has a bit of 'JLo' vibe about it, and I love her 😉 But I also like the middle one...and as some others have said, she does look a bit like Megan Fox. And i don't think that's a bad thing either (I love her too 😉 ) LOL
  7. Are you assuming that the most 'human' looking bodies, are the ones that are going to most peak 'everyones' interest? Each to their own in SL is what I say .. That's what makes it so great. The freedom to create..and be and look however you want. Realistic or not - human or not. It matters none, but to those that create. (and for what it's worth..i prefer the second one, because it looks a little different. How boring a world - both real and virtual - would be if we all looked and thought the same way) 🙂
  8. But they have buyers. it just feels like based on something that happened to you 8 yrs+ ago when you spent a few dollars on a product, you've just decided to not be one, by the sounds of it?? But lets not assume your opinion on buying / pricing / quality...is the same as everyone elses 🙂
  9. Yes, you and me both. I think he/she is trying to make some kind of point, that because of a bad experience he or she had in spendiing a few real world dollars on something over 8 yrs ago, that now for some reason, anything else new that comes out that also costs a few RL dollars is going to be equally as 's**t' and done just to 'rip buyers off' somehow. Well I think that's the point he/she is trying to make. Not sure I quite get it either !! LOL
  10. ha ha ha...'design means nothing in SL' that is hilarious. That is so ridiculously out of touch, that I am gonna use that in my signature. Man, you just don't get it do you? - and despite your years of experience in SL too. You clearly still don't understand that in SL Design is EVERYTHING!!!
  11. What??? Your are joking/trolling right? You honestly begrudge paying the very people that make SL what it is - ie 'The Creators' and The Creative Community of SL a measly 12 bucks for reward for their creativity/effort/initiative and hard work.??? To call what these people do, 's**t, and for putting themselves out there to be critised like that, is just so unfair...and you know it!! Come on, give these people a break. Without them doing what they do...we WOULD still be all looking like something out of a 1980s Atari video game!!! We should applaud them for moving us forward, and creating competition. Not calling what they do 'S**t', or suggesting they are ripping people off.
  12. I don't think you will have needed 'telepathic powers' to have realised a year ago - or even six months ago, that BOM is going to be pretty much a 'must have feature' of any body. (name me just one other popular body that has not adapted their bodies to accomodate BOM?) It didn't take any mind reading powers - just good business accumen, and the ability to understand the changing marketplace. Ahhh yes Polaroid went bust, and had to sell their 'brand' for next to nothing. However Kodak also made a massive error, by telling the employee who invented the digital camera in the seventies to 'keep quiet about it' - and it cost them decades of financial issues because they denied adapting to the changing market towards digital - despite having actually coming up with it in first place. And that failure by Kodak to not to adapt is often used in business schools to demonstrate how dominant companies fail to not keep up with changing trends. (https://www.forbes.com/sites/chunkamui/2012/01/18/how-kodak-failed/) Release price is the same as the pre-order price. And It's now 18th Nov. And I am going to put my money where my mouth is, and buy it.
  13. The KARIO preorder (at $3999 ) was limited to 500 - and sold out in less than a day. So clearly there is a market for people wanting to buy $3000+ bodies. I think if it was a total BOM redesign, then AETHETIC users would consider buying. (and I don't believe they'd expect it to be a free update). Many did when Legacy bought out the Athletic version - and that was an another (off top of my head) $5000
  14. This is very true. HOWEVER From what I see/hear, creators have pretty much stopped making new stuff for Aesthetic. So all the current line up of clothes available are looking very, very dated (to me). I have SL friends who are so frustrated that they have such a limited wardrobe available for their Enzo bodies. So not sure they'd be that bothered in holding on to the body, because of the amount of clothes they already have for it, cuz they don't have much, and what they do have is very dated mostly.
  15. I don't know the specifics/technicals...but either way, I just can't understand why this creator didn't see what was coming down the tracks, and re-invent the AESTHETIC body style they have become famous for, and come up with an alternative, more modernised (and BOM based) version.... It's almost like when despite what was happening in the world of photograophy, KODAK not coming up with a digital version of their famous line up of film based cameras, when they could see clearly the rest of the world was changing ...and look what happened to them! It's a shame...and I like the AESTHETIC body, I honestly do. But if the time comes for me to want to buy a muscular / bulky type body...I am going to be going with the BOM based KARIO...100%
  16. I have tried the demo....(pic below using my regular/usual skin and both KARIO bodies - Fit on the left and the bigger Flex on the right) .....And for what it is worth here is my opinion. It is GREAT to have a new body for us men. And you do get a nice choice of body types in one package. Which for other bods you have to decide that up front. If you like muscular, exaggerated, caricatured male bods (in the same exaggerated style the same creator did for women with their popular KUPRA body) then you are going to be very pleased) I really LIKE the fact this is BOM by default. Something that has severely been lacking with the nearest equivalent body (ie AESTHETIC) (as a side note – it is beyond me why that AESTHETIC creator never updated that male body to BOM....and now it could be the demise of it frankly with this one coming out competing directly with it – especially if this new KARIO is adopted as widely by clothes creators likes the KUPRA body has been. anyway....) It is great too you can very easily use pretty much any existing head and skin with it, which was difficult with Aesthetic. Doable, but tricky to get a good match. I am not so keen on the nipple options. They just seem a bit too ‘cartoony’ to me. But if that’s the look you are after you’ll love them – and they start ‘big’ and get ridiculously ‘bigger’. Of course you can hide them (like I have done in my pic) or acquire/add your own. The hips / hip bone are also very VERY pronounced. Not sure how keen I am personally on that. The amount of clothing out so far is of course minimal – but what I have seen so far looks promising. PLUS Lelutka are launching a new male head, Jonathan, on 18 November. And targeted this new head very much at KARIO users. Overall, I think this body will be very popular. Especially for existing Aesthetic users, or those legacy athletic users who pump that body up to the max. Will I buy it? …mmmm…perhaps…we’ll see
  17. If you think the hips are severe....wait until you see the nipples!!
  18. good idea...is there a limit to the number of platforms i can have?
  19. or the opposite - and have mostly great reviews of a product hidden on all of the other pages by a couple of 'one off' poor reviews
  20. What I wish they would change though, is why they only show two comments per page, with no way to increase this. It is a pain when there are more than 10 comments to keep going through all the pages two at a time. That's a right pain. Be good to get at least ten comments per page.
  21. That is ashame if a store owner cannot see who posted. On a few times I have posted a comment, I have had the store owner contact me in SL to discuss the feedback, and update me on any changes they have made to the product based on my feedback. And in one instance this has led to a really great friendship with a creator. Ashame if that kind of rapport will be lost. Also - will anon comments lead to more aggressive, unfair feedback. (if people feel they can hide more - a bit like on Twitter, they can often be a bit more unreasonable).
  22. I am keen on getting more into SL photography. I really enjoy it. But I have never really set up a regular 'studio' I have now built up a nice collection of poses / backdrops / light effects & windlights, etc. And randomly take pics wherever I can in SL - and/or wherever I can find to rez the backdrops. But now want to set up a permanent space - perhaps in a skybox above my Linden home? (is that a good idea?). So just some ideas please on best way/place to set up a place to do my SL photography? What do you do / where do you do it.? I did try having a skybox above my linden home. (photo below) Which was great to begin with- but it is literally a box (4 walls, floor and a ceiling) and so not affected by light changes or windlight changes. So I can't create nice lighting and shadows in that box, like I can when I change windlights down on 'normal land'. I was going to just have a skybox platform, and do it on that. but how do I stop from falling off? is this the best thing to do. I also tried using a large public sandbox to do my photos. But found I kept getting hassled/disturbed. (Not griefed, just people kind of asking what i was doing. Which is fine, and nice to chat with people - but it also means its not very private). Anyway - just your ideas on the best way to set up a non complicated location/process for doing my own photo shoots? What do you do / how do you do it? Any ideas / tips appreciated. Thanks (pic of Sybox Studio Below - Which would be great if I could have windlights/natural SL work in it ).
  23. Loving the summer nights in Second Life. Hope you are too?
