    Cubes and spheres are a terrible comparison to mesh bodies and I'm not remotely so simple as to accept it. No need to mansplain UV mapping to me, or how to zoom on a picture. If 35 designers each made a texture to fit a truncated icosahedron, we'd have 35 unique soccer balls, but the vertices would all be in the same places. As for the same skin on different bodies, if course they look different. If you put a plain solid orange skin on different bodies, you'll have orange people with various physical differences. You've yet to demonstrate outside of rhetoric or anecdote that someone makes a skin with a note that says "For this body, not that body". I've had a Slink Physique body and switched to Lara, taking the skins ihad on hand and never had an issue nearly as serious as the OP with any aspect of the texture being misaligned. If you want to break out the scanning electron microscope and talk fractions of millimeters that's clutching at straws

    So skin makers aren't using the original UV map from the beginning of SL? Every BOM texture I've ever had (tats, skins, or clothing) for Lara wasn't specific as to what it fit, only the appliers. Subtle differences are simply the various shading and pigmentation used to make the skin different than the next creator. I see subtle differences between how skins look between Skinnery and Insol on my Lara, but everything aligns the same. It's not like the differences in skins are so drastic as to be considered "different shapes". Are you suggesting skin maker A puts the navel a few millimeters north of where skin maker B does? The Lara mesh body has a divot where the navel sits, it would be silly to not put the texture for the navel in that divot...

    The *only* time I've ever seen where a skin has to match a body is when it's an applier, otherwise nothing will happen. BOM doesn't matter. I know Lelutka Evox heads have a proprietary UV map.
