Like some other historical simulations (1920s Berlin, The Time Portal), this is scaled for "realistically" sized avatars,

  2. MOVE! is another one ... they have loads.  And there is a Japanese  brand (Aketo..?) can't quite remember the name, which are very good, but pricey.

Why not buy singles dances you really like and then use a dance hud that sends an invite to a friend (s) and you can both dance side by side, facing or even across the room from each other doing the same or even different dances.  This is what my friends and I do using a variety of dances from all over the place rather than couples dances.

And this ... this is exactly what I do.   Someone recently gave me a dance hud which is copy/mod/transfer & full of dances.  HMU inworld & I'll give you a copy.

Lelutka now uses a new way to rig their mesh heads, something they refer to as "Boundless". I thought I was going to have to update all the shapes I have made for their heads, but it turns out that in most cases I already had the Boundless versions when I made the shape. Only the Skyler head gave me something to do. Awh, and here I thought I was going to have a project for a week or so. Anyhoo, this is what my avatar looks like today, with an adjusted shape for the Lelutka Skyler 2.5 mesh head.

    Skyler 2.5 update

    what body is that ?

  4. I was 8.  I remember it well.   I had a chalk board on an easel & on Christmas Eve would draw a map to our house on it so Santa could find us.  The year I turned 8 we moved house & somehow my chalk board didn't make it   ¬.¬  ....  so I was convinced that Santa would not be able to find us, especially as we were now in a completely different place !  I was upset the whole day & then one of my older brothers told me that Santa's presents were locked in the trunk of my mother's car.

I always find it hard to imagine Christmas in the southern hemisphere.  No snow, no sledding or ice skating.

Yep, it is usually weird, certainly felt that way to me in Australia.

But once I had Christmas in Guyana, South America & they had steel drums & calypso in the streets on Christmas Eve with a black Santa in red corduroy shorts leading the parade.  Jamun wine was the drink of choice & pork pickled in garlic char grilled the food - that was the best southern hemisphere (ish .. it is on the equator) Christmas I ever had.

  6. Create a sub folder in the gestures folder called *current* or *club* or .. whatever category you use them for ..... then move the relevant gestures to the appropriate folder.   That way they will at least be easier to find.     You could also create a note card that lists the triggers & gestures that are active & have that minimised on your screen to refer too.

Somehow this seems appropriate even though it was made in 1969. It's kind of representative of the election with Biden starring as Godzilla.

this was required viewing on Christmas in a friends house ... they had it on reel .. haven't seen in years !

lol - my mother had one of those.  And a 6' tree and did the house & shrubs outside ... she was kinda cray cray for Christmas.

There will no one with us for Christmas so it's gonna be difficult to get excited about decorating but I will def put up a tree of some sort.  Otherwise it will be too depressing !

I'm sure SL will see a larger crowd during these holidays than normal.  People who do live alone and aren't getting together with family might find it nice to gather with SL friends in the same situation.

Yep, I also think SL will be busier than usual this holiday season.  A DJ friend was asked to do a set on Christmas day & he's not sure ... I think he'd be mad not too !

  10. Normally we have many over for Christmas lunch (12 one year) & do a lot of socialising & going out in the run up.

Just before lockdown was introduced in the UK I came up to Scotland to be out of London.  I take medication daily for a rare blood condition which causes clotting in my lungs, so a respiratory illness is the last thing I need !   So I am still here in a remote part of south west Scotland & likely to remain here until summer next year.  Original plans were that my sister-in-law & nephew would be here from Canada, but that is not gonna happen obvs.  So yeah, very quiet Christmas .. it will be strange, but these are strange times indeed.
