  1. I love this stuff. I have to admit before this thread I didn't take the time to understand how people were doing it. I noticed shoppers jiggling around the grid and I had seen some HUDs on marketplace but I wasn't sure exactly what those did. It isn't something I'm motivated to buy for my own avatar but I find it very amusing to see people standing around with their bits all lively and animated. Maybe there's a certain saturation point where I would get tired of it but I don't think so.
  2. They just mean the head will look ugly since a typical shape made for a non-mesh face can distort a mesh head. It won't break anything permanently and as soon as you modify your shape or change to one that was made for the head, the head will look as it should.
  3. A good place to start is to just wear the eyebrow base that came with the lelutka head. It will be modify. You modify it as you do when you change your shape, not with the HUD. For the gift head it is called "Shape.LeLUTKA.Brow.Lilly"
  4. Went shopping as soon as I saw this thread! It's a cute shape. Its such a shame that they went with the name petite when Slink Petite (which I also own) already exists. Despite it not being nearly as widely supported as the popular bodies there are still a ton of clothes out for the slink petite and it makes searching for maitreya petite compatible clothes really hard since most of those slink petite clothes will include regular maitreya sizes and still show up in a search for maitreya + petite. Of course in the future that won't be much of a problem. The shape is much perkier than slink's petite option. I'm happy for the variety. Hourglass + petite is still a very different shape from lara + petite.
  5. I have seen shapes sold using skin demos and mesh body/head demos. Yes its tacky and unprofessional and yes I think it will make people less likely to buy. Demos are unattractive and some people purchase just because the vendor image is so attractive they want to emulate it. However I personally would still consider buying a skin or shape that is shown on a demo head. I care more about the product I'm actually getting than the vendor image. I can accept that someone might have fun creating a skin or shape to sell without wanting to spend ~6k for their vendor images. This still promotes the demo head or skin creator too, in its own way, since even if the vendor is using demo products the people buying the shape will certainly want to buy and use the full product. Also, I love hand painted skins. They have their place in my inventory alongside more photorealistic style skins. They create a different sort of avatar.
  6. I love the Lorelei Bento Mermaid Tail, fits maitreya body and comes in fatpack or smaller color packs https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Lorelei-Bento-Mermaid-Tail-Fatpack/12908399 Here's the demo https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Lorelei-Bento-Mermaid-Tail-fitting-demo/12908400 I use the Oracul mermaid AO https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/RP-006-Hello-Mermaid-AO/3313381
