At some point, hardware is so ancient, outdated, out of juice and depleted that you could rather burn your money instead of trying to keep that old crap alive.

That's why I put it after the graphics settings and qualified it with "depending". $5 or $10 can get a significant CPU upgrade for older systems. If the computer's power supply has a 6-pin power connector, I'd definitely keep an eye out for a cheap GTS 250 (1GB) on eBay. Those things are magic.

  2. Assuming the Pentium is about the same vintage as the GT220, yeah that's gonna be laggy. The problem isn't necessarily age, but the low end parts.

I like Firestorm for potato computers. It seems to play well with old hardware. Try these graphics settings and see how they work:

Turning off atmospheric shaders may help kick it up a little more, but that makes a big difference in appearance.

If it's still too slow, depending on which Pentium you have it may be worth spending a few bucks to find a better used CPU and video card.

Security Orbs should give a minimum allowance of 15 Minutes on the land in question (As part of TOS).

Security orbs should let you set the eject time to 0.

Roughly 47,000 miles, errrr, 75,000 km of interstate.  Assuming one marker every 0.5 km, that's 150,000 new markers.  I'll bet they can get that done for not a penny over $10B (Davis Bacon wages for labor add up REALLY quick!).  Of course, that leaves all the US highways, state and county highways, so, maybe $100B and 10 years to do.  In other words, a rounding error on federal spending.

It's not the cost, it's the endless screeching about how metric is too hard from people who don't know how many inches are in a foot.

the Republicans, short of Jesus himself personally testifying against Trump (assume the Republicans would let even Him testify) will vote to acquit.

I am certain that testifying against Trump would only get Jesus crucified again.
