Assuming the Pentium is about the same vintage as the GT220, yeah that's gonna be laggy. The problem isn't necessarily age, but the low end parts.
I like Firestorm for potato computers. It seems to play well with old hardware. Try these graphics settings and see how they work:
Turning off atmospheric shaders may help kick it up a little more, but that makes a big difference in appearance.
If it's still too slow, depending on which Pentium you have it may be worth spending a few bucks to find a better used CPU and video card.

That’s why it goes on the chips, instead of putting the Devil’s ***** on them.

Every Nvidia graphics card with “GTX” in the name that can run SL should be able to run it smoothly. If you’re having problems rezzing items, it may be a network issue rather than a graphics issue.

Roughly
47,000 miles, errrr, 75,000 km of interstate. Assuming one marker every 0.5 km, that's 150,000 new markers. I'll bet they can get that done for not a penny over $10B (Davis Bacon wages for labor add up REALLY quick!). Of course, that leaves all the US highways, state and county highways, so, maybe $100B and 10 years to do. In other words, a rounding error on federal spending. It's not the cost, it's the endless screeching about how metric is too hard from people who don't know how many inches are in a foot.

Second, many of the scientists in NASA did (and do) use the metric system.
Like the ones who programmed the Apollo Guidance Computer.

I am certain that testifying against Trump would only get Jesus crucified again.

Why would anyone care about those per se? They contribute absolutely nothing. I don't even notice them, tbh (although I will occasionally look at post count).
They’re worse than useless.

That's why I put it after the graphics settings and qualified it with "depending". $5 or $10 can get a significant CPU upgrade for older systems. If the computer's power supply has a 6-pin power connector, I'd definitely keep an eye out for a cheap GTS 250 (1GB) on eBay. Those things are magic.
