Hitler's dead? He can't be! He's always so alive and well in Internet arguments!
Yes, he died in 1958. Those guys on the internet are probably clones.

I also recommend looking into the eyes of the men and women and CHILDREN from France, Russia, Finland, Yugoslavia, Romania, Poland, Czechoslovakia...etc...etc and tell them they did nothing and far between.
Finland and Romania?

I thought only noobs and griefers hang out at infohubs.
The crowd at Ahern/Morris is mostly people who have been around a while and they're very nice. It was rowdier when voice was enabled, but that's been a while. The people at Nelsonia seem nice enough but tend to keep more to their own clique. No one goes to Arapaima anymore, it's too crowded..Oritz is filled with bots.

I've never been to a safe hub! You're saying I can get sexually harassed at one? For free? LM, please!
Just type nelsonia or arapaima in the location bar and prepare for disappointment.
Arapaima seems to be full of refugees from the Korea hub after the lab turned voice off there, so it's hard to get in anymore.

Safe hubs seem to be a mix of bots standing around when they relog after a crash and people who hang out there all the time talking to each other in the voice enabled ones. You can probably stand around acting like a bot for hours and no one will notice.

Did you notice anything different between the OSD in those games and Second Life?

I have already read this recommendation before in this same topic. I have visited the page and it seems to me that it is written for people who are somewhat advanced in programming. I repeat that my situation is not that of an experienced programmer.
Most experienced programmers started as inexperienced programmers. Go ahead and jump into the deep end. What's the worst thing that could happen? When you run into problems or things you don't understand, I'm sure one of the more experienced developers will be able to give you a hand.

I think poking around the Nvidia control panel to get significant performance gains is mostly a waste of time. Doubly so with a system that looks like it's probably more CPU bound rather than GPU bound. The first thing I'd do is install MSI Afterburner and put stats for the GPU use, CPU use for all cores and frame times in the on screen display. Then I'd go into Firestorm's graphics settings and see what I could do there to improve performance. Then maybe use the debug settings page to see what else looks like it would be a good idea to mess around with.

Did the submit a name contest thing ever open?

I guess thats my point - i have no idea what works and what doesn't. It's like a shot in the dark. Be nice if some on team linden or team firestorm who understood how these things work together could give guidance ....
I can’t tell they do anything. The things I change that consistently make a significant difference and are worth changing are shadows, advanced lighting and overclocking the video card. Draw distance and atmospheric shaders will, but IMO atmospheric shaders and a 128M draw distance are the minimum standards a video card in a desktop PC should be capable of.

Video cards that crap themselves and crash everything just because you jammed all the sliders in MSI Afterburner as high as they’ll go.

Unfortunately we live in an age where nuance is dead and opinions only exist if written in crayon on post-it notes; thus his reputation is that of a transphobe. And a Nazi, somehow. Sigh.
Yeah, he’s not a transphobic, just a shameless grifter who monetizes transphobia.

What tweaks have you found to make a difference?

I don't know if it still exists but Torley Linden used to have a place like this, years ago. I probably have some pics of it still, somewhere. I will try to find them.
The region is “
Here” (oops, its “Torley”) It hasn’t changed in a very long time. I guess since The Lab exiled Torley to Sansar.
ETA: it’s all messed up, the floor texture is a garish Dropbox error 404 page that ruins everything. I hope he comes back to fix it.

I think the system requirements page needs a bit of updating for recommended system memory.
If it worked 15 years ago in Windows XP, it's probably still okay. That's how computers work, right?

I just went to the sim that I was talking about and I saw Nanceee there. I did not IM her but am sure if she is upset about this new sim that she will talk to the owner.
Looks like someone was upset, I was just there and the name is now "The New Sinatra Jazz Club." Which might not have been the ideal choice, but anyone who cares probably won't notice.

Ive never understood the bandwidth logic. I get 102 Mbs from Tuscon, and I am supposed to set my maximum to 1500 Kbs......
It always seemed like it was more of a suggestion than a limit and the viewer is going to do whatever it wants.

Check the accessibility system preferences to make sure you haven't enabled mouse keys or something like that.
