    NO!...I haven't taken ANYONE else's pic's from here!

You may use any of mine royalty free for personal use. I suspect they'll be more appropriate as an industrial strength emetic than adequate fapping material though.

Like Y2K. The naysayers will always blithely assume that it was just overblown, not that millions of person-years saved us from disaster and years of recovery. Time to invest again.

Y2K isn't a bad analogy. If our response to Y2K was like COVID-19, America would have started investing in dealing with it sometime around 2004. Just like Y2K, everyone knew something like this was coming, the difference is we didn't know exactly when, so we didn't make the investment and now we have no choice but to overreact at a vastly higher cost. Both in money and lives.

  3. I'm not particularly scared of getting it, because of reasonable precautions. I'm fairly sure I haven't been an contact with anyone who had it, but since there's a really wide range of symptoms, and apparently people can get it and not even know, I can't be certain. I can't be certain I haven't already had it and just not known. I do know I did get enough Clorox wipes to thoroughly sanitize everything I've touched at work (yeah, custodians, this building has the cleanest doorknobs on Earth).

What I'm more scared of is the idea that no one in the media has ever read Aesop's Fables. They just know they have 24 hours of content to shovel out in a day, and at the end of the day they're telling people by the end of the month people will be burning bodies in the streets because the survivors can't dig mass graves fast enough, they've done their job for the day. Then in six months when none of the end of days predictions come to pass and everyone says "hey, there was no wolf", next time no one will listen to them and the wolf will eat everyone.

I'd bet women are looking over at their boyfriends/husbands wondering if the dude can hunt, make a fire, fight, forage

Because those are very important skills in a country with an almost entirely urban population. Maybe the fighting part, where Davey Crockett can wrestle that last roll of 1-ply Sam's Choice toilet paper away from the rampaging mob of soy boys.

Let's see, so far on this page we have what looks like a noob version of a Star Fleet cadet, the Monopoly man, the guy from that one meme, Ben Kingsley's little brother, three hipsters who spend way too much time trimming their silly beards and would have been beaten up daily in my high school, the abominable Rosedale avatar (which, actually looks a lot like the very first Tolya in body and hair, but wearing a lame t-shirt instead of my fashionable suits), and a chick putting on makeup.  Sorry, none of them look like a real CEO

Okay, technically not the CEO, but he was on the way up, until he wasn't.

Will LL be supporting them going forward?

Linden Lab says they will. They haven't shared a lot of details how, maybe some of the TPV developers know more.

Here's the deal, Second Life uses the OpenGL API, and Apple doesn't like OpenGL very much. They've officially depreciated it and told developers not to build new applications with it and to use their API (Metal) instead. What this means for the future of OpenGL on the Mac is uncertain. They could just ignore it like they have done for the last ten years, or strip out OpenGL support like they did 32-bit support in Catalina last year. I think we'll get a better idea around June with the WWDC and public betas of macOS 10.16 are released.

I'm still amazed at some of the things people are hoarding.  I actually think some folks are literally just grabbing anything they can get their hands on just to make themselves feel better.  I read an article saying that much of the hoarding is simply people trying to gain some control over a situation that feels totally out of control.
