  1. I have been many things in sl. Its not always easy for some people to play other personalities than them self. It can become tedious and time consuming to remember the details and keep track of what you last said or did or with who and why.

Really what you need to ask is do you like doing what you do? Does it give you some enjoyment being here and acting in that manner? If you answer yes, than there is nothing wrong in what you are doing or how you are being while here.

It really doesn't matter what someone other than yourself thinks about what you do or why. You don't need outside verification or validation for what you are doing or why. If it makes sl more fun and enjoyable doing it that is all that matters.

Almost everyone wheres a mask here and portrays themselves somewhat or totally different than who they really are in rl. Even the ones that claim they don't actually do. Being behind a name that is not your birth name allows you to be more or do more or act in ways that you wouldn't around others normally. Not being able to be held accountable for your behavior is liberating to some people.

Do you know Alyona Su? If you did, you'd know that is an alt. You'd also know she's very open about her alts.

Yes, it could be any of those things you so helpfully listed. That doesn't impact any of us worrying about her in the slightest. Some of us actually care about other human beings and worry when they disappear without a trace.

Yes, I know people well in SL that I've never spoken to outside of SL. If you don't... I guess "sorry" is in order due to the type of people you hang out with. How sad for you.

Your experience does not speak for anyone else's experience.

    Just... Jesus, dude.

Do I know her personally no. Have I seen her posts on the forums before yes.

Towards you saying you know them well.. you really dont. because anything they said could be made up if you never met them outside or talked to them outside in voice or cam or some other means. People do lie and play head games with each other here a lot more than most might want to admit or think it happens. You really cant take anyone here at face value only fools or gullible people do that. Has nothing to do with caring or not. Just because you are worried doesn't mean she is or else she would have been back.

There are so many ways to access the internet and these forums or sl itself that when anyone disappears its either because they are using an alt they 'dont' want others to know about or they no longer care enough to be here. smartphones, tablet, pc, laptop, library computer, family computer, work computer, friends computer.

Even if someone was sick and in the hospital they could still be here unless was in the mental ward, even if was in jail they could still be here, even if was on a trip somewhere they could still be here if they really cared or wanted too. Even if was really busy with work they could still find the time to take a few minutes to come here.

The fact that she has not been on that account or her alt, means either she has temporary or permanently left sl and is not concerned if others miss her or not or she would have told someone or left a notice on her profile what was going on or why.

Again this has nothing to do with caring about them or missing them. People change, times change, nothing stays the same for long. People do eventually get burned out on sl and leave permanently or take long extended breaks without letting others know why. Not everyone cares if someone knows why they disappear or are going to and why.

It doesn't matter how much you may have talked to them here on the forums or in sl itself. You really do not know a person as well as you think you do.

Real LIfe is more important than any online interaction through a virtual social platform such as sl.

  3. maybe she decided to take a break from sl because rl being more important than sl. maybe she made another alt that she is using and doesn't want anyone to know because she is trying new things out that some would have found objectionable. maybe she finally grew out of sl and decided to just leave. maybe she had some hard times and had to give up her internet or computer or what ever and cant get on sl for now. maybe she had an emotional breakdown and needs a break from sl and wont be back for years if ever. maybe she got tricked in to inescapable rlv and cant login because the person who has control wont let her. maybe she is being held captive in an abusive relationship and the person wont let her come online anymore. it could be any number of reasons really.

in the end do you really know anyone that well here.. if you never spoke out of sl.. email..fb..discord etc..

maybe sl just no longer has the same importance anymore to her.

Also, what if the creators all got together and created a blog where they named all the customers they've had negative experiences with?

There is some that do this, either by blog or by putting them in their picks on their profile as a way to shame them. I know of several people that do.

  5. Two words OP.. "Do it"

dont worry what others say or think about what you did or said. that is their problem not yours. express your feelings and experience how you want.

i have had picks before about stores I liked, and about ones I didnt like. nothing happened. I have posted negative reviews about stores I didnt like. the worst that happens they report it and ll removes it. who cares at that point what was needed to be said was said and they saw it, that is all that mattered.

express yourself and dont let anyone tell you not too.

make a blog about your sl time and experience with each store. it might help people decide what stores to look at for content.

Last time I mentioned this, I was terrified about the coronavirus. Genuinely in tears. I know this sounds terrible but I'm actually enjoying the lockdown now. The air seems clearer, there's less noise at night and I get to spend loads of time chilling out and reading. Actually - I don't want the lockdown to end! I don't want to go back to how things were.

I know some people will get angry and call me a troll and think I'm disrespecting the dead or making light of people's pain but I wonder, is anyone else actually OK about the lockdown? For me it's gone from a nightmare to a nice extended holiday. I never realized social distancing could be so relaxing. I'm so less stressed.

isolationism is a tricky thing. some people it drives them nuts. some panic over it, some dont. some people come out on the other side completely screwed up in the head, others are freed of many unhealthy previous habits.

its not an easy thing to deal with especially if someone was an extrovert or social butterfly. but most introverts can deal with this fairly easily since its right up their alley on how they normally acted.

learning to cope with the social distancing can help a person realize they dont have to need or have other people in their life all the time to be happy. It is quite peaceful and enlightening having to deal with it. You break connections with all those unhealthy people that were in your life and with bad habits or concerns about what others think about you.

In the end it will either drive you crazy, or lead you on a path of peace and tranquility when alone. No more codependency on others. No more fear of being alone or ignored by others. no more need to be the center of attention or with the 'in crowds'.

being an introvert it really hasnt affected my life much. I already was socially distant or isolated most of the time to begin with by choice.

Granted, you can change it for free but now you have to be called Potty Fartwell.

I wish I could justify ordering in tonight instead of cooking.

Granted, you justify ordering in because you have no cooking skills, the last time you tried to cook at home you set the couch on fire by accident trying to cook a 'couch potato'.

I wish I knew what to wish for.

  8. Those who matter wont care what some random says about you. Those who do care what some random says about you should not matter to you. Do not let what some random who has a pet peeve against you becasue you might have ignored him or an alt of his one time or didnt rp the way he wanted ruin your sl experience.

You can; that's why "Resident" is one of the options on the list. If you choose that, it will strip the last name and your username will be just your first name (assuming no-one else already has it).

This is the option that's most appealing to me at this stage; and the first name I want appears to be not taken yet... Still not sure if it's appealing enough to be worth spending about £35 on it though...

Not the same, I dont even want resident on my name. Just my first name. family names.. last names are pointless really. its not like you are a member of that family really.

which is why my display name is just one name. no last name at all.

You can:  Upgrade to Premium, if you are not.  Buy a name change - uncheck the box for changing your first name so that it remains the same and then select 'Resident' as your new last name.

Not quite the same thing, that is still giving me a last name. I would prefer to have no last name at all. I see them as pointless here in sl. Its not like they are a real family name. plus I have better things to do with the money it would cost to do that. Until the price is made more realistic and not sounding like some sort of cash grab, I think I will abstain from doing so.

  11. Having a last name is so last century. If I could give up my last name without having to create an alt I would.  A first name for the username is more than enough really since you can have your display name be anything you want, even the exact same as someone else. so all this fuss about having last names is pretty silly really. It doesnt really make someone more unique or special or important except in their own mind...

The name change was added when it was ready. That took a very long time and had nothing to do with Sansar. Name changes became available after COVID-19 caused worldwide "stay at home" orders. Just a coincidence? Perhaps not.

I doubt it took as long as you think since they had the system once before. doubtfully it was so complicated to re-enable it or add it back in. they were just waiting for the right time where they could use it as another cash grab scheme.

  13. 4 hours ago, Alwin Alcott said:

it has nothing to do with Sansar, don't believe everything that's posted here.
New last names project dates from long before there was even a thought about selling Sansar.

it may have been in the works for a long time but it never was added back in until sansar closed down. which is kind of funny really.

Worst thing ever.. I enjoy the fact i came into the game in the beginning to have a last name. This is nothing but a money grab to cover Sansars waste of cash now that its gone.

true, that is what it is basically. Just an attempt to draw people back that didnt like they couldnt have a last name. or to try and get people who dont have one maybe pay to get one.

  15. continue to defend yourself and you continue to prove my point for me. those who have nothing to hide have no reason to defend either.

and name and shame is against tos, which is why you do it on your blog because you cant here. and no name and shame is not a beneficial service unless you see yourself as some glorious white knight trying to protect the innocent and the weak, which no-one ever asked you to do.

No you do not have high morals or ethics or else you would not need to name and shame others that you disagree about how they behave. you are just trying to make yourself sound better than what you are, but you are not fooling anyone. You are just trying to find reasons to justify what you do to make it sound like a valid reason even if its not.

And yes it is very easy to fake anything on the internet. It is simple to create a fake personal or business Facebook page, a fake blog, a fake wiki a fake anything. The fact you think people cant do it easily proves how little you really understand the internet.

Any good story writer could come up with dozens of accounts and fake identities to try and make themselves look original. Hell even on these forums people use sock puppets to boost their own ratings to make them look more impressive than they really are.

I don't care if i'm not invited to your little cliche group discussion, I wouldn't attend even if I was invited. I know very well who you are and how you act toward anyone that you personally decide not to like.

  16. Again.. as I said earlier I smell a foul fish in all of this asking for such information. And like another poster said. People could always fake the so called rl information, and it would be very hard to prove unless you expect them to give over government issue id's as well as proof. Which would be down right stupid and foolish of anyone to do.

I am Drakonadrgora the Imperial StarDragonness I am 666 trillion years old. I come from another dimension. Prove me wrong... you cant...

Sounds more and more like you just want information on people to hold it against them so they cannot argue or disagree with you or risk being posted about on your blog as being an indecent person.

You are well known for posting satirical posts about anyone that you disagree with about how they behave towards you. your attempts to public shame people are well known about. You see yourself as some great person of high morals or ethics but your not.

what are the garantees not be fried on your blog, just this time with real name?

This right here..is the main reason why most people will not do it. When someone is known to blog about things and has used that blog for satire it can be a very big reason why no one or very few would trust giving the information requested.

This sounds less about making friends, but more about looking for those people they can dox to others on an outside source unregulated by LL.

  18. You can still get and use the lumiya viewer for android even though it was removed from google play store. you just need to search for and download and install aptoide on you android phone first, then open that app and search for lumiya and install it, you can then remove aptoide from your phone. the only problem is it has not been updated in over two years so will not support many features of more modern viewers like bento or bom and it is missing many modern rlv commands and features. but it does allow for you to see your avatar and others and move around and chat and even has a vr supported feature to it.

    lumiya

    aptoide

  19. You cant change the uuid of your avatar yourself. Only LL can change the uuid of any item directly. So no you cant change your uuid to get off of someones block/mute list or off of some group/sims ban list. And unfortunately it also means if someone uses one of those login notifiers to track you, you cant stop that either.
