  1. Resources to find RP partners depends on the genre you're playing in. In Gor for example, are in-world groups where people post notices to invite people to join them as family members, etc. There is a general Role-Play partners group but I seldom see actual ads, just sim advertisements. ( secondlife:///app/group/88cad2ba-6da3-316f-5c04-3176773db57f/about Doesn't hurt to try! ) The best thing you can do fill out your profile to give people an idea of whether they'll be a match with you, RPwise. Leave out anything negative, don't present yourself as a jerk and try to stick to the wants instead of the dislikes. Think about the things you've seen in profiles that make you cringe or steer clear of someone and then just avoid being the same. Filling out your profile saves other people a lot of legwork in their search for RP partners. Then just RP and hope for the best. Your RP with others is basically your billboard for your RP self. No matter what your profile says, first-hand experience is the best way to see if you're a match for others. It doesn't hurt to message someone and propose the partnership when you've bumped into someone often in RP and feel like you click well with them. RP can be a lot of work despite being play time.
  2. I just pop into RP sims that I have joined, watch a few round of posts and decide whether or not I want to join the RP. I found the RP sims using search. I will also post a lure in the RP sim's Discord to see if anyone is interested. If you mean long-term RP partners, I usually propose something long-term if I find someone that's compatible with my post style, schedule and get along with OOC. This tends to take a long time but being patient usually pays off for me. I've seen others post advertisements about their character and proposed stories in groups solely for RP partner searches. This happens in this forum too sometimes.
  3. That Draco hair is timeless and just works for everything all the time.
  4. Thanks, everyone for the replies. I went with a skin from The Plastik and makeup from Aii to make the look. He's a bit darker than the image and lacks braids but this is the best I can put together for the moment. Attached is the result.
  5. Does anyone have any skin recommendations to resemble this character? I have a Catwa Daniel head. https://gyazo.com/8b0de4746043a25dda15f45edb6b481e
  6. Does anyone know of any script like this for sale? I need it to countdown from 24 hours on touch. Ideally, it should prevent others from resetting the time once the countdown starts. I am having trouble tracking something like that down on the marketplace and inworld. I would post to the scripting forums but I am not a scripter and any advice there will fly past my head. EDIT: 11:29 AM. I have found the script. Thank you to all the scripters that replied.
  7. You assumed correctly and the reason it didn't download was user error. I just assumed the available Driver for the Nvidia experience was just for the control panel and not the driver-driver itself. Getting that taken care of seems to have helped a bit. I now get rainbow speckled textures on random objects now but no longer have the mesh distortion. It's all good. You asked for info which I didn't think to provide which helps people much better. It's not a game-breaking issue. Only a minor inconvenience of switching viewers to take snapshots. Thanks again to everyone that replied.
  8. I believe my Ping is 46-86. But here is a screenshot in case I'm looking at the wrong line. The mesh remains looking funny. Sometimes it changes into a different distortion with each login. https://gyazo.com/70e80f2b26d400db54580a0e060fc89c

  10. Is there an elephant watering can for sale in SL? I'm looking for something in a cartoony style like the attached pic.
  11. Yes. I did it through the viewer and the type where you delete all the folders in the cache.
  12. Here is a Gor-inspired sim that takes place on regular Earth. It's Goreans that found land in modern earth and settled there. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sea Fortress/206/108/36
  13. Okay. I will drop the LOD to 2. And here is the same tree and avatar in the official viewer. https://gyazo.com/e303f5acab1034da074b7ec07354af0e https://gyazo.com/68da7d73221f005d551b72c14f65f8e5
  14. Mesh is showing up distorted in Firestorm. My computer's graphics is an Nvidia Geforce 960 m. Computer model is Asus G551JW. I am also connected by Ethernet cable. This doesn't happen for me on the Second Life Viewer or Black Dragon. Steps I've taken in an attempt to fix it so far: Clean installs twice Updated graphics card Updated to the newer Firestorm Tinkered with graphics settings in Firestorm. Unticking and reticking VBO, etc. Made sure Firestorm is using Nvidia and not intel. Restarted PC Moved the graphics slider from low to ultra, etc. for any changes. Maxed out LOD Followed all instructions here https://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/mesh_issues Here are some examples of the distortion: A Skye tree https://gyazo.com/712851bdfc032bcf2caaa3c426ee6503 A Truth Hair and Signature Body https://gyazo.com/55648eeb24f0230d7654660ec73903a8 Thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas. I'm stumped and don't know what else to Google to solve this issue.
  15. See title. Aside from the title I'm looking for sims where the culture separates IC and OOC. For example: No "tal" greetings or referring to me as "Master" in IM. I play a Pani free person so the Sim allowing those characters is important too. I'm looking to play in a southern setting.
  16. Amaretto has been around for a while so they have a lot of traits ranging from realistic to silly/fantasy. Examples include horse breed, coat colors, shiny, glow, tint, eyes, mane types, socks, etc. Awesome Breed Creations is another option out there with breedable horses. Their horses look much better than the Amaretto horses but Amaretto is the easier, more straightforward breedable. For Amaretto, their starters do pull from the current trait pool with RNG. Some traits are retired and can only be bred out if you buy a horse with the retired trait to breed out. With the offspring from starters, you'll have a better idea what they will produce based on how they look. Amarettos have visible traits and hidden traits. You can try to go pure blood but a hidden trait might still pop up randomly unless you try very hard to breed and erase out an unwanted trait. For that, the trait is called Null. As for market value, I've been out of the game too long to tell you if you'll make a good profit. However, I recommend attending live Auctions held by individual market sims. This way you can see what's popular and see how much people are paying and decide from there. It's also a good idea to walk around breedable market sims to see what people are charging for their horses and if it's consistent. You can also easily make accessories for Amaretto but I assume it's the same for most breedables. If it's something for the horse to wear, the buyer just needs to edit the accessory according to their own shape. You can also try making trait signs, display stands and other tools a breeder could use and need. Unfortunately, I have no experience with BioBreed to offer a comparison. Just with ABC.
  17. Peaceful 1024 m parcel for L$2500. It's pretty good if you're premium and don't own other land. The view is fairly empty if you face away from the road. It's also next to a lot of abandoned parcels so it feels like the sky is all yours if you decide to live up there instead. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Putnam/57/19/39 There's a lot of other parcels for sale there too in case you wanted to add more prim to this parcel by using your group.
