  1. Wow you are right. *makes a note to not log out nude on a pose ball*
  2. Guess I won't be going out to the Mexican restaurant for dinner tonight.
  3. See Ethan, when you pay your monthly membership fee, you are also charged AT THE SAME TIME for any land you held during the previous month. I really hope this clears it up for you, but somehow I doubt that it will
  4. LOL here you go, call LL a liar if you like Land Use Fees The cost of land itself is based on demand and can fluctuate with the market. Check out our Purchasing Land page for different ways to acquire land. The Land Use Fee (also known as a Tier Fee) is a monthly charge in addition to membership fees (i.e., US$ 9.50/month Premium Membership). Land use fees are billed based on the peak amount of land held during your previous 30 day billing cycle. Premium accounts are granted a 1,024 sqm bonus lease before land use fees are applied. The chart below shows the fees for all land you hold or tier you donate beyond the 1,024 sqm bonus. https://secondlife.com/land/pricing.php
  5. Perhaps someone, anyone can post a screenshot to back up your claim. There are no "partial months".
  6. LOL I know, you only quote leftist sources. Yes please ignore me, It will save me having to read your dross
  7. America’s first black billionaire says Trump economy has been good for African Americans BET founder Robert L. Johnson, America’s first black billionaire, said during a CNBC appearance on Friday that black Americans should be encouraged by the growing economy under President Trump. “Something is going right,” said Johnson, owner and chairman of Bethesda-based asset management firm RLJ Companies. He cited the December jobs report showing that unemployment among black workers was at its lowest since the Labor Department began tracking the data in 1972. "You have to take encouragement from what's happening in the labor force and the job market," Johnson said. "When you look at African American unemployment, in over 50 years since the Bureau of Labor Statistics has been keeping the numbers, you've never had two things: African American unemployment this low and the spread between unemployment among whites and African Americans narrowing. “That absolutely means the jobs market is soliciting employees who have been out of the labor force, some of it just based on discrimination, some of it based on changes in education, access and technology changes,” he continued. “And so when you look at that, you have to say something is going right.” Johnson praised the current U.S. business environment, “if you take into account the Trump tax cut,” he said. “I believe the economy is on a strong growth path.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/04/07/americas-first-black-billionaire-says-trump-economy-benefits-black-americans/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.a4fb3ee1616b
  8. I'm not letting you get away with these feel good generalities. Post some stats please, and be sure to include stats that show how many middle and upper class Blacks there are in America. I bet you won't admit that Blacks are reaping the benefits of Trumps revival of the economy just as much as Whites are.
  9. Everyone knows of the 13th amendment freeing the slaves, but there was a 13th amendment proposed in 1861, this one had a slightly different purpose. https://www.gilderlehrman.org/sites/default/files/inline-pdfs/GLC09040.pdf
  10. And of course the war was fought to free the slaves right?
  11. Discrimination against Asian-Americans so other races can have a better chance at getting into to Ivy League schools Affirmative Action Battle Has a New Focus: Asian-Americans By most standards, Austin Jia holds an enviable position. A rising sophomore at Duke, Mr. Jia attends one of the top universities in the country, setting him up for success. But with his high G.P.A., nearly perfect SAT score and activities — debate team, tennis captain and state orchestra — Mr. Jia believes he should have had a fair shot at Harvard, Princeton, Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania. Those Ivy League colleges rejected him after he applied in the fall of 2015. It was particularly disturbing, Mr. Jia said, when classmates with lower scores than his — but who were not Asian-American, like him — were admitted to those Ivy League institutions. “My gut reaction was that I was super disillusioned by how the whole system was set up,” Mr. Jia, 19, said. Students like Mr. Jia are now the subject of a lawsuit accusing Harvard of discriminating against Asian-Americans in admissions by imposing a penalty for their high achievement and giving preferences to other racial minorities. The case, which is clearly aimed for the Supreme Court, puts Asian-Americans front and center in the latest stage of the affirmative action debate. The issue is whether there has been discrimination against Asian-Americans in the name of creating a diverse student body. The Justice Department, which has signaled that it is looking to investigate“intentional race-based discrimination in college and university admissions,” may well focus on Harvard. The Harvard case asserts that the university’s admissions process amounts to an illegal quota system, in which roughly the same percentage of African-Americans, Hispanics, whites and Asian-Americans have been admitted year after year, despite fluctuations in application rates and qualifications. “It falls afoul of our most basic civil rights principles, and those principles are that your race and your ethnicity should not be something to be used to harm you in life nor help you in life,” said Edward Blum, the president of Students for Fair Admissions, the organization that is suing Harvard. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/02/us/affirmative-action-battle-has-a-new-focus-asian-americans.html Once again, I ask the worthies in here, how can we even have racial quotas if there is no such thing as race?
  12. It's not possible to address past injustices by giving preferential treatment to someone today.
  13. thats the problem with quotas and racial setasides you never know if the person is the best or if someone even better was passed over so that person could fill a quota. It all about living up to that mandatory diversity statement Look look we aren't prejudiced we hired three blacks two Hispanics and a trans woman last month.
  14. when did i ever say tier payments starts at the same time as premium. they are two entirely different things. however your renewal date and your tier date are the same. you dont have to believe me just go look it up think about it my dear Ethan, the minute you go premium your land use fee page will show how much tier you owe. Until you buy land in excess of your free allowance your tier will be zero but as soon as you buy land in excess, on the next date coonciding with the billing date you WILL be charged peak usage for the entire month
  15. Try imagining for a minute if the American War for Independence had failed. Since there are so many America haters in here, I can only imagine they would say that would have been a good thing.
  16. You should drop by, we welcome everyone, even trans allies.
  17. I love that song. Thank you can you see the similarity with this song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdz5kCaCRFM They say if you want a major hit, use Pachobels chord progression.
  18. I own land. I forgot what day of the month I first bought it, but my tier is due on the same day of the month as my premium membership. My annual membership is due on the 17th, my tier is due on the 17th. If I bought land for the very first time on the 16th, I'd still owe for the entire month because you are charged for maximum usage for the entire month.
  19. You'll have to take that up with Linden Labs. It's the supports for the city monorail system. I really did get a fantastic deal. Under $5 L per sq m for protected land front and back on Zindra. I'd have posted a closeup, but if you could see the flag clearly, someone would have reported the picture for "hate speech".
  20. Since we are posting pictures, here's my place.
  21. Your tier is due on the 2nd of every month (same day of the month as you went premium). You will be charged a full months tier even if you bought additional land the day before your tier date.
