This is not about imposing restrictions on adults using adult bodies. It’s for child avatars who have down scaled an adult body. Very common if the intended age is mid teen and up.

No Sid, THIS is the "Revenge of the Butthurt - Let's ban Maitreya" thread. For tiny Terror Tots who want to punish 150,000 Maitreya users.
No it isn’t. Please don’t trash this thread
this is specifically for child avatars who have down scaled adult bodies.

Only we don’t care what the internet think. We care about what gov think and not getting exiled
-
None of this takes how SL works into account. And it’s unlikely anyone at Gov will sign off on any body as being ok, not even senra.
If maitreya don’t release a dedicated version that s with the letter of the rules, everyone on that body is now out. It’s pretty cut and dry.

Why would the Maitreya add-on not make it compliant?
Camel toe is part of the base mesh.
-
The rules also state no genitals. Which maitreya has out of the box. There is no way it can be compliant without maitreya releasing a special edition kids version
this also sinks rebirth, that’s worse out the box.

If you don’t look like something Beef McThickNeck can take to bed without guilt. You’re at risk of fending of abuse reports. That’s has always been the case, only now it’s easier for them to stick.

So what you’re saying is it’s unsafe for child avatars to be near other child avatars.
Ever.
just in case.
-
So we’re reporting child avatars for existing. Just in case they might be in IM.

And I'm sure in your humble opinion you're representative of "REASONABLE people", however are you really so sure that everyone else shares that opinion
the conversation is about policing hair. Reasonable was never involved.

I'm going to be there. Several of us from the cute little AV community are going to come.
we need as many as possible, there are going to be a lot of questions and concerns, plenty we wont have thought of.

Yeah I don't think some people understand just how many sims and how much land smol AV's own, not to mention all the associated family RP sims and land. A certain user's "Minority of walking AR violations" or whatever she calls them would cost LL a huge chunk of money to lose.
This is because they have had to make and pay for all their own spaces since the start of SL.

think the distraction there is: Any talk about non-human avatars is NOT relevant.
the talk about furry cub play is very relevant and I will be bringing that up with governance tomorrow

This is clearly an issue about which a lot of people have strong views and is clearly causing a good deal of concern for a particular group. Many of the people affected who aren't regular forum users may well find themselves here for the first time, because they've asked friends or inworld groups what these changes are all about and been told there's a thread about them in the forums.
Please let's try to ensure that people who haven't been following this thread from the beginning don't come here to catch up, only to find it's degenerated into a load of off-topic chatter, memes and jokes.
Many are reading this thread, freaking out at the unabashed hate being spewed for hundreds of pages and walking away.
I've been poked by people about this very thing in world and on discord.
I'm trying to get some to come to the governance meeting tomorrow - The responses so far can neatly be summed up as
F*** NO
People are walking away because this thread is nothing more than an opportunity for a few regulars to attack every concern or question raised.
LL : We're not banning child avatars !
LL : But this mob sure look angry about their existence, fascinating.
but sure .. this fist fight about are child avatars comparable to lethal prison sporks is what's relevant, good job forums.

There really needs to be a concrete statement from @Linden Lab in support of the child avatar community after this thread.

Yeah, but are they going to look in every Adult group to try to find someone just because they're selling something on MP?
That data is being scraped by bots into external databases. It is only a matter of time before someone decides to put it to some use, makes a searchable index, uses it to target avatars in mutually exclusive groups (eg, something kids & something not) etc etc.

You could also hide your Adult groups.
This hides groups even if the person looking is in the same group, however doesn't stop anyone from finding you in a group.

Safer.
Can we just linger on that for a moment.
We're talking about what's safer.
Things are feeling pretty adversarial and strained in the relationship with LL if safety and protecting ones-self from governance is how things are going.
That's a huge problem, and not one that's we can solve, or will just go away on its own.
If the state of our virtual nation is "you don't have to fear the cops if you've done nothing wrong", things are really bad.
I hesitated in posting this .. because doing so feels unsafe.

A: Not all violations of the policy will result in an immediate termination. Depending upon the nature and severity of the violation, Governance has a suspension tree that is utilized to make attempts to educate the Resident first. However, if those attempts fail and the behavior is continued, it will result in termination. For the more severe offenses, the immediate action will still be to terminate their access to Second Life.
AP is the most severe offense.

Because whoever is tempted by children doesn't lean to furry cubs most likely.
It's something of a known 'cheat'.
It's also not like the furry community aren't aware of this either, it come up at every single convention.

The only one I don't remember about is Tweenster,
Tweenster has both built in skins and full BOM support, however, they are somewhat mutually exclusive in the current body.

Swim suits will probably need custom ones .. they could cover the entirety of the area covered by the swim suit, although we need to ask about removing side and back straps and such tomorrow
